Cross Bracelet

Reese was buried wearing this beautiful cross bracelet.

My sister Mandy bought this for her. It has such a special significance because all of the "White" (my maiden name) women have one. ; )

I wish there was something I could do for everyone who is supporting us through this time! Please know I pray GOD blesses you incredibly for encouraging us with your prayers, words, cards, and Bible verses.

Isaiah 57:1 - 2

"...devout men are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil."

Such an encouraging and amazing verse Katie. Thanks for sharing such special details with all of us. What a special gift from your sister - she is such a special friend to me. Continuing to pray for you several times a day. You and Jason are always on my heart and mind. I can only imagine how hard it must be after the funeral. SO many different circles are praying for you and it seems every person I talk to over phone/email is praying for you whether they know you and your family or not.

Katie, what a beautiful bracelet and it's perfect that Reese has one just like the other White ladies.

After dropping Maxwell off at school, "More Beautiful You" by Johnny Diaz came on the radio. The line, "You were made to fill a purpose that only you could do" made me think of you and Reese. God knew that you had the strength to endure this trial and that you would be a witness for Him b/c of your faith. Although it's been almost three years since we lost our baby to a miscarriage you have helped me heal more than I can explain. Your grace and love for the Lord has been a beautiful testimony. Thank you, Katie!

My husband, David O'Dell, went to high school with both of you and I have been meaning to comment on your blog for several days. We started reading your blog when you, Katie, were sick several months ago. Our hearts are broken for you with the loss of your sweet baby girl, Reese. What a beautiful baby! I wanted to share with you that our church, FBC Austell (outside of ATL) and school family are praying for you during this time. We are encouraged by your faith and strength. We are praying for grace and peace in the days to come.

Reese is precious and I want you to know that I am praying for you and your family. I know that I don't even know you, but I think of you often. Even today something happend and I thought about you-I thought, if she can get through what she has with her attitude and love for the Lord, then so can I. What an inspiration and blessing sweet Reese was while she was here. Please know that I pray comfort for you and your family. Katie, I haven't commented here yet, mainly because I honestly couldn't find any words that seemed appropriate. I could tell you I am praying for you like so many others, which I am, still, those words seem so insignificant. Just please know that even though I am certain you don't feel strong right now, your rock solid commitment in the middle of this impossible storm is one of the greatest and most inspirational testimonies of faithfulness I have ever witnessed. At a time when you would be completely justified to retreat into your grief, you are boldly declaring your faith and directing others to the One in whom all your hope rests. Amazing and awe-inspiring, your beautiful broken heart. Reese is gorgeous, Katie. Just like her mommy.

Katie-

I prayed for you when you were sick and Kelly mentioned it on your blog. I prayed for you when you had Reese and Kelly mentioned it. My mom sent a link to your blog and when you posted the picture of Faber, I immediately realized that you were Katie White and that I knew your family at First Baptist - LR. I'm Darla Dillahunty (now Baerg) and I live in Houston, TX now. It was so special to me to find out that I was actually praying for someone I knew ... even though you were little bitty when I knew you. I always thought your mom was so fun and the White kids were darling.

I am so very sorry about Reese. I am encouraged and touched by the beautiful words you spoke at her service. What neat thoughts and verses the Lord gave you. He is good.

Looking at the beautiful video, you can tell that even in her much too short two days she received as much love as she could. The pictures are beautiful, she is beautiful and your family is beautiful.

I know you have a huge gaping hole in your heart and can't even begin to imagine what you are going through but will continue to pray for God's perfect peace for you and your family.

Love,
Darla
