Fun with Friends

Last week we were snowed/iced in most of the time, but Z and I loved playing with Jenny and Benjamin a few times. Jenny was my very first best friend. We've known each other so long I don't even remember meeting her in kindergarten. Such a treasure. Our mother's used to say we got along so well because I told Jenny what to do, and she did it! I was a bossy little girl I will admit. ; )
We have always laughed at how different we look from each other, too. Now our boys look just as different!
Our boys are four months apart
Cuties

Jenny made these cookies for Ben and Zach. Did these take me back or what!? Jenny's mom used to do the very same thing for us when we were little girls. Brings back the best memories! They even tasted the same. Loved every bite. Oh, how simple life used to be.

A few answers to some questions ~

Mandy bought Zach the Bruiser t-shirt from www.emtannerdesigns.com. I love it!

Jason bought the Razorback Mickey and Minnie Mouse pajamas at Walmart about one month ago.

A few of you also asked about the bath tablets. I found mine at Walmart and the Neighborhood Market. It's in the section with the bubble baths (not the baby section), and there is also a Sesame Street brand. Both are great!

Teach us to number our days...that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

I have a best friend that I have had since we were 3! It is great to have friends like that! She moved to SC but when we talk it's as if their is no distance there we just pick up where we left off! Her mom used to make us raisin bread with honey before school/her house was right beside the middle school so we like walked together everyday!
Anywho now when she comes she makes raisin bread for the girls!! LOL
Love the cookies super cute....
Have a great day

One of the things I miss the most from living far away from my hometown are my childhood friends. They are precious.

UGH! I was just at Walmart today! Ohh well, there is always next time! So glad you are still in touch with your childhood friend. Looks like you guys had a great time and the cookies looked yummy. Funny how little things like that can take you back, isn't it? The boys are so cute together and I am sure they had a blast. Have a great day. Hope you are feeling well.

Hi Katie! I just love your blog and am so happy for you and your new blessing. :)

Since you are answering questions, can I just ask where you buy your clothes? You always look adorable and I am shopping challenged. I have four young children and just do not have the time so I rely on asking others, kind of like a shopping short-cut. ;)

You had the cutest short-sleeved sweater on a few weeks back. It was a cream color and was a loose knit I think. I believe you wore it over a long sleeved t shirt. Anyway, if you have time to answer, I'd be grateful. :) If not, I totally understand.

Hi Katie,
I hadn't been to your blog in awhile (dual computer crashes...back to the 1800s it felt like!) so I was so happy to stop over and read your happy news! Your little one looks like the JellyBelly jellybean in the ultrasound....precious!
We used ultrasound pix to tell my parents that we were expecting the triplets. They knew we were trying so it wasn't shocking for us to show them ultrasounds, but they didn't realize that the 3 pix were separate babies. I said to them, "Do you know what you're looking at?" They said yes, of course, a baby! I said, "I don't think you understand. This is Baby A. This is Baby B. This is Baby C." They still didn't get it so we had to slowly explain that they were going from zero grandkids to 3 in a few months. Good thing they were sitting down! LOL!
I'm joining the others who are standing on God's Word for you to have an absolutely wonderful pregnancy and delivery. Whenever I worry about my cancer coming back, I sprint right over to Nahum 1:7-9.
The LORD is good,
a refuge in times of trouble.
He cares for those who trust in him,
8 but with an overwhelming flood
he will make an end of Nineveh ;
he will pursue his foes into darkness.
9 Whatever they plot against the LORD
he will bring to an end;
trouble will not come a second time.

Ninevah represents evil and work plotted against the Lord's plan for us. The last verse is our stand and promise in the face of whatever has afflicted us before. And that's an OT promise....we have the amazing grace of Jesus that gives us immeasureably more!

Have a great week ahead...looking forward to reading more good reports in the months ahead :-)

Love in Him,
Jen

Hello, Katie... I have been following your blog for a while,... I'm not a stalker though.. hehe...I was friends with Paige Code's SIL Mallory that passed away, Mallory used to always steal pics off of Paige's blog to show me her niece. So, then through Mallory's facebook I found Paige's blog and one day accidentally clicked on your blog & have been hooked since... Anyways besides saying Hi, I wanted to say these pictures you posted, are different, you look different in these pictures than you have in the past month's posts, there seems to be more behind your smile, like you are healing inside. I guess you just looked a little brighter a little more hopeful. I don't even know if saying sorry about Reese is adequate, but my prayers are with you. She's watching you, seeing how awesome her mom is. I hope each day gets a little brighter for you.

Katie- I was just reading the post about how many weeks you were sick with your kiddos and was laughing to myself. I always call Mandy Calendar Girl bc she ALWAYS knows birth dates, holidays, etc and I can tell you are just the same! So funny! Take care and always know we are praying (a day ahead) of you in Australia!
