Claim It

This Sunday I ran into two friends at different times who congratulated me on being pregnant. As we were talking about this pregnancy going differently they both said, "Claim it in Jesus name. I'll claim it for you!" I love this! Such faith they have and gave to me in their encouragement.

I know people are claiming in Jesus' name that I will be healthy, this baby will continue to be healthy, and we will be able to bring him or her home. We are doing this, too. Thank you!

This picture warms my heart. It was the first and only time I dressed Reese. The nurse was so sweet, and we just talked and smiled together as she helped me with all the tubes and stickers. It was like a moment frozen in time I will never forget.

This little guy warms my heart, too. ; )

Mom, are you ready for Bible study yet!?

A big smile after the Esther study. I think he had a wonderful time too. ; )

This morning we drove by Reese's garden as we always do on Tuesdays, and as I was about to pull out of the memorial gardens Zach said, "More Weese, more Weese." It took a few seconds for this to sink in because he has never said this before. So precious for my heart to hear. Of course I whipped my car around, and we drove by her marker again. Such a sweet little gift from Zach and the LORD.

...there is no other GOD who is able to deliver like this.

Daniel 3:29

Dear Jesus,
We all pray for Katie and the precious life You have made growing inside her. We bless your name for restoration, for healing, for peace. We bless your name for your undying love and grace. For your ways, that although we may not understand at times, all work together for good. May Katie's life and all of our lives reflect your beautiful glory and majesty so that others may see and believe. Dear Jesus, we love you! And we claim everything in Your Name...JESUS! Amen.
Love you Katie!
Blessings to you and your whole family!

Praise God for being so faithful! What a blessing to have another precious baby growing inside of you!

My husband and I are going through the hardest thing of our lives right now. We got pregnant (huge surprise with a 2 year old and 4 month old) and found out we were having twins. We lost one at 12 weeks but were told our other baby was very healthy. We just found out that our precious baby girl is fighting hard in there ... with virtually no amniotic fluid. Doctors are saying that I may carry her full-term or lose her along the way because of the loss of fluid. They're saying if she does make it full term she won't be able to survive being that her lungs are able to develop right now. The thought of never taking my baby girl home has never crossed my mind until today. How you did it is beyond my understanding. Thank you for your encouragement through this blog ... I will continue to pray for a healthy pregnancy for both you and your sweet baby. We would love your prayers, too. That Reagan will defeat ALL odds set against her and astonish all the doctors! That we WILL take our baby girl home and she will be completely healthy! Thank you so much ...

This totally put things into perspective today! Thank you. "More weese" is precious in every way...I feel lately Like that's what God is telling me but instead of whipping myself arounds, i've ignored His voice and carried on and then i sit here wondering why I feel so heavy burdened...I need to listen more...listen when he calls for me...just as Zach calls for "more Weese"...i pray that this pregnancy is healthy and that God's light continues to shine down on you and your family!

That is precious about Zach but so sad at the same time. It will be so wonderful for you to watch him be able to love and interact with this baby - nothing is more precious than when they play together and love each other. But I know Reese will always be on your mind as you watch them. Praying for you!

Such a sweet picture of you dressing Reese! You're such an amazing woman!! Zach is such a handsome little man! You'll have to fight the ladies off when he gets older...you know like when he is 30 and allowed to date! :) Praying for you and yours..always!

How precious. God knows just what you need and he gave that to Zach. I know it warmed your heart.

You are so right Katie...CLAIM IT!! God LOVES you and this baby just as He does Reese! He will NEVER forsake you, which I'm sure you know sweetie!
We waited a year after Lila Rae died to get pregnant again and when we did...I CLAIMED IT! And guess what? No matter what the devil threw in our faces we still CLAIMED IT! He is now a beautiful, healthy, thriving little red-headed boy...someone I always wanted! God is going to do the same thing for you...I KNOW IT!
Please share with Lauren Hope that when I was pregnant with Whitman I also lost amniotic fluid. At 36 weeks they induced and his lungs weren't yet developed. We went to Savannah for a week were they treated his lungs. He is now a very healthy little boy! I know that it can be comforting, sometimes, to know that there are other Mommas who have gone through similar situations.
Praying for you, Lauren Hope, and your babies!

Zach saying Weese brought tears to my eyes. He loves his sister!!

Katie, when we were being considered as parents for our son (domestic adoption) a good friend, who is an amazing Christian, told me "Claim him, have Faith and claim him... he is yours" I did, for the first time in my life, I claimed something in the Lord's name... with unwavering faith, I claimed him. And he became our son. Every day, for the past four years, I give thanks to God for allowing me to be this beautiful angel's mother. And I know he is mine, because I claimed him :)
Blessings.

Katie, so glad to hear that you are doing the Esther study. I didn't want to stop it when it was time to end. I wanted to hang on to the treasures that were uncovered for me and it took me a little to realize that I don't need the study itself to do this. Christ had done it in my heart! The thing I think over and over is that I was created "for such a time as this!" Somehow, it just makes everything easier to handle. Praise Jesus that you have this new life growing inside you. You were created "for such a time as this". Many hugs.

We actually even announced that we were pregnant immediately b/c we felt like that proved that we had faith things would be o.k. and we were Claiming It!
