We used to call Zach Bruiser, but Colson has officially taken over this name.
I was going to post about our Easter Sunday today, but that will have to wait until tomorrow.
This is how our day began.
Zach and Colson were upstairs playing, and Colson started crying. I just thought they had gotten too rough which is completely normal. As they came downstairs Zach was saying, "It's getting bigger! It's getting bigger!" About this time I saw Colson's face.
I really try to stay calm with the boys, but this took me so by surprise I screamed. Just a little though because I knew I had to act quickly and didn't want to scare the boys.
I was still in my pjs so I threw on some clothes, called Jason and drove to our pediatrician's office.
He checked out fine, just has a big goose egg. No concussion. Just one scared mama. He did perk up, but we took it easy all day. Our pediatrician said he could have bruising and blacks eyes for up to three weeks.
Shannon said he can't catch a break, and it's so true! I took him back to the doctor on Friday (this time a specialist) about his foot. He's ok, but I want to make sure I'm doing everything I should be doing. I can already tell a big difference in how he's walking and running.
Zach drew a picture of Colson with his "boo boo." Makes me smile. ; )
But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong.

Ouch! I don't panic, but that is an odd place for a goose-egg so I probably would have screamed too! Hope his eyes truly don't turn black and blue.
Oh my. That middle pic is adorable and Z's picture is hilarious. Those BOYS!!!
Oh my! Poor thing! I can imagine you screaming (but trying to hold it in so you didn't upset the boys) :)What a tough little guy.
Poor thing!! That would make me scream too! Did you find out how it happened?
Bless her heart!! I definitely would have screamed too. Glad he is okay!! :)
Oh my goodness, I'm so glad Colson is okay. I know you had to be scared to death.
Poor guy! That is a huge goose egg. I would have had a minor freak out! So glad it all checked out! Such a tough guy!
Oh my Katie! Poor thing, how scary for you all!! Bless his heart, and yours too! :)
My 16 month old had a goose egg in the exact same spot! His little eyes were black for about 2 weeks! Hope Colson feels better soon!
Aw, poor little guy. I've heard it's much better to have a goose egg on the outside than to have it be on the inside. Glad he's much better! I know you got tired of explaining things:))
