6 Words

Yes, I absolutely threw that bottle away! Ya'll are too funny.

I was reading in a magazine recently and came across something I just loved. People described themselves in six words. These are a few of my favorites. I laughed out loud when I read them. ; )

"Old too soon. Smart too late."

"Was hot. Raised kids. Lost cool."

"Might as well eat that cookie."

"Still fit into high school earrings."

"Best move ever? I married her."

"Sorry I'm not married yet, mom."

So I've been thinking what I would say about myself at this time of my life. You can say a lot in six little words! This is when I wish I was really funny or creative. ; ) I did think of a few...

Following Jesus is always worth it.

High school sweetheart is still mine.

Small details make a full life.

Try it! I would love to hear what you come up with. Have a good weekend!

His love is perfected in us.

1 John 4:12

Six word memoirs! I make my students write these in their sophomore year. Hemingway was rumored to have written: "For Sale: Baby shoes. Never worn."

I love that your Bible verse ties in to the "6 words". So clever!

Some of mine might be:

God is good, ALL the time

God's opinion is all that matters

Painted nails make me very happy

She pooped in the tub... again!

Hi Katie, I just read Resse;s story It is so beautiful I loved her slide show. I recently gave birth to a stillborn son on 1-24-12. I started blogging to help me cope with my felling, and to keep a record of Jonathan's life. I also, like you want to uses it as a scrapbook for my family. It helped me so much to read your sweet girls story. Is there somewhere on your blog that I can read more about her and how you manged grief? You have a beautiful family. Thank you for sharing your story, it has done good for this hurting mommy's heart.

Katie, thank you so much for visiting me and encouraging me. It blessed my heart so much. Grief is a lonely road. I will start reading where you suggested. I share your sweet girls birthday(smile). I will remember to pray for you on her special day! Thanks again I so appreciate you.

I can choose faith or fear.
My husband doesn’t think I’m funny.
My friends think I am funny.
Serving others truly makes me happy.
Hanging out with girlfriends is fun!
I could live in the Caribbean.
