More Hog Fun

Fall is definitely the busiest time of the year for us. It's a lot of fun, and I'm just trying to "be where I am." It sounds silly, but it's so true! My college roommates and I told each other this all the time. It's easy for my mind to run everywhere else than where I am. ; )

Back to our weekend...

Several close friends live in the Dallas area, so it's always wonderful to see them when I'm there. They do my heart good.

I was so happy to meet Lydia, Ashley's three week old baby girl. So sweet. Bek is pregnant with a baby boy, and I'm so excited for her.
Laura and Brock came over to my sister's house, too. Brock is eight weeks old. He's precious.
These girls are just beautiful!
Abby & Z played hard the entire weekend. Z always wanted to be with her, but sometimes just as any girl Abby needed her space. It was too funny.

The sitter sent us this picture while we were at the game. Ha! Later that night we grilled out at Mandy's house.

Since we don't see each other often, I think we treasure the time we have together that much more. I would be lost without my family! So thankful for them.

Meredith sent me this text last night. It's a conversation she heard between Allie and Mary in the car.

Mary: "I wish I could remember what Reese looked like."

Allie: "Well Mary she was beautiful and even though we didn't see her, I miss her all the time."

My sweet nieces.

The LORD will always lead you, satisfy you in a parched land, and strengthen your bones.

Awe:) I have an "Abby" too! It's such a cool feeling when children remember what is near & dear to your heart. I can be a blah mood and A will start singing a song about God (out of the blue). Nothing like life through the eyes of children:)

What a sweet, sweet conversation between your nieces. I TRULY believe that God gives children such an innocence, such an openess to see/here/feel SO much more then we can as adults.

After my sister lost her two sons, before the third one passed (they were triplets), my son, who was a little over two at the time, was behind me, sitting on his tricylce, and this is what happened...I hear him talking but I'm not fully paying attention and then I stop to listen (he talked early, so yes, he was speaking in full, intelligble sentences at the time :)...

I hear Manuel say "Don't cry babies, don't cry." And I said, "Manuel, who are you talking to?" And he said, "The babies." And he just said, "Why babies, why? Are you coming back? Don't cry"

A few hours later Ian, joined Heaven with his brothers, Mateo and Anthony. I have no doubt that Manuel heard/saw/felt his cousins coming back for their brother.

*Sorry for the super long comment, I just felt lead to share! Reese will always be such a huge part of your family :)
