the Real Reason

This is why Zach likes Bible study so much...
the donuts!
Can't go wrong with learning about the Bible and eating donuts at the same time, right?
A true sign of brotherly love...
donut sugar in Colson's hair. At least he didn't seem to mind. ; )

And yes, we are always the last ones to leave everything. School, Bible study, MOPS. Unless Jason is there to help us along we just take our time and enjoy ourselves. We usually rush out the door to get somewhere, so why rush back home?

Yesterday after Bible study Zach said, "Where is everybody?" They had all left, but he was still talking and eating. Cute thing.
I am deeply touched when anyone shares with me how Reese has affected their life. A sweet woman from Murrieta, California, emailed to tell me she has started donating hair bows to her local NICU. She is also wanting to donate something for baby boys. GOD's work never ceases to amaze me!
We woke up to at least 18 inches of snow this morning! We may be snowed in for a few days.
Another pajama day for Colson. ; ) As ready as I am for spring, I love when Jason gets to stay home from work, too.

Stay warm and go clean out a closet or two. That's my plan!

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.

1 John 5:14-15

We are expected to get snow today (not nearly as much as y'all did though) and my goal is to get the house in order, spring cleaning before spring :)

I'm a NICU nurse and we LOVE getting things to dress up and love on our babies with... Bows, hats, sleepers (with snaps, no zippers), blankets to make their bassinets, scrapbook supplies to make signs for their beds... What a sweet way to remember Reese!

And your boys are just precious! I've got a boy and a girl about the same ages. Never a dull moment ;)

I once attended a church faithfully because they had Krispy Kreme doughnuts. (I was 16 at the time, and would NEVER do something like that now...)

That snow is nuts! I can't believe how much snow the rest of the country has seen - just rain and nastiness down here in NOLA!

I learned of your blog from another blog that I was following. Let me begin by saying I battled the tears reading your heart felt story. Losing an infant is enough to rock anyones world, and your continued faith in god and allowing him to guide you in your greatest time of need is amazing. Congrats on your beautiful family, Reese is one proud sister I am sure. Continue to be an inspiration and keeping the faith. Thank you for sharing your story.

Katie-

I have followed your blog for a long time......I just had a baby girl (my first child) and I wanted you to know how much I have thought about you and Reese. Seeing pictures of Reese made me cry before, but now I ache SO bad for you. I want you to know that your faith is an inspiration and I pray for you and your family. You are such a beautiful person.
