Happy Tuesday! I am actually enjoying this winter. This is big for me because I usually have a hard time during the cold gray months. I'm too busy with the boys to think about how cold it is so it's nice! I can't wait until spring though. ; ) I'm already thinking about the boys' Easter outfits. Ha!
I forgot to mention I am laughing at the peaches comments. I can't help that I love them! I stock up. Zach eats them too so I do have a little help. ; )
I took more headbands and bows to the NICU yesterday. My mom bought them in honor of Reese for Christmas. The nurses were excited and told me two baby girls had just been admitted. This made my heart so happy to know their parents would get to choose a "pretty" for their little girls.
I pray these small gifts brighten their day. Details mean so much in the NICU!
Jason brought home these beautiful flowers, too. Sweet man!

Katie~ I love that you give bows to the baby girls! I have a friend who's cousin's baby in in the NICU at Willow right now. She will be there till probably March. I am sure she received a sweet bow!
We just welcome our little girl into the world week ago and so blessed that we have a healthy baby after all our struggles getting her here!

I think it's so special that you take bows to the sick babies in the NICU. That's sooooo sweet! I know that must mean a lot to the parents who have their babies there. You're so sweet and thoughtful!

Hi Katie! You post today was beautiful! I lost a little girl who (sadly) never got a chance in the NICU. For stillborn little girls they only had tiny dresses for us to choose from (and also, sadly,they were horrible). Thank you soo much for inspiring me to contribute to my local hospital to fill a gap that I know exists!

I too love when you post about your bows!! I just know they fill those NICU families heart up with love when they get them! Like you said its all in the details.. I was very insistent that Timothy have his own clothes in the NICU. I appreciated that they had clothes on hand.. But I wanted him to have HIS clothes, not something that was being worn by lots of babies... That may sound strange.. but it was just a hang up of mine...We have been donating clothes since then.. So that families that dont have the cash flow to buy outfits still an opportunity to dress their babes in cute stuff!! :)
The bows you are taking to the NICU are beautiful. One of my clients has a little girl who was in the NICU at Children's Mercy for many months. For Christmas, they took gifts to CM for every baby in the NiCU.
I am also thinking about an Easter outfit. Last year, Aaron wore a sailor suit that my mom had made for my brothers when they were little. It was too cute (even if he wasn't exactly excited)!

What a really thoughtful thing to do!! At a moment (I've been there...had 2 in the NICU)when parents are at their most frightened, they have a bit of joy in seeing personalization of their little one! A bow makes it seem like a little girl and not just a sick premie. Great idea!!!

I love to look at the bows you donate! Your mom gets a huge thumbs up! What a great grandma! When the boys were in the NICU, they got some special things that people had made for NICU babies and that was such a treat.
The bows is a wonderful idea!! I wish we had received a bow for when Calypso was in the NICU.
Would you be offended if I used the idea and donated them to our NICU with the other stuff I donate?

Katie~ I just wanted to share something I just saw on the news here in Tulsa, OK. This yellow lab, named REESE, saved it's owners from their burning home. Because of Reese, everyone got out okay. :)
ok I have been looking to do something for the Nicu my daughter was born into for her 1st birthday.. any type of bows or hats or what do you recommend? I am running out of time! Want to order something this week!
Those bows are so precious and I love how each one is so pretty packaged and on the tag has in memory of REESE....that makes me get chill bumps for she is still impacting others lives and always will! That is such a wonderful gift you are giving to the parents of sick children in NICU and your kindness and selflessness amazes me....I think that's why we become friends so easily LOL....:)
OK so how sweet of Jason to bring you those bright cheerful flowers....Greg does that for me for know reason on occassion and I always joke with him and say what did you do haahhahahaha
