Colson rolled over for the first time on 1.1.11. ; )
AND...we missed it. Yes, really. I can't believe it.
Jason and Zach were upstairs, Colson was in his room, and I was in the kitchen making him a bottle. He had been so close, and when I went back into his room, he was on his stomach. I can't believe he did it without us. Crazy!
Thankfully we have seen him do it since then, but I'm still so sad I missed the first roll. ; 0
I don't realize how big Colson is until I'm around other babies. He is wearing 12 month clothes, and is bigger than a lot of our 1 year old friends! Just more for me to love. ; )
He likes anything he can reach in his mouth and has become quite the drooler.
I think I'll keep rolling...

How big is Colson? My 4 mo. old is 18lb, so Colson doesn't look that big to me...haha! He and Zach are so cute.

either way, he's a cutie! Libbi was always a chunky one, too...she was consistently off the charts with her weight - one of the only times in a girl's life it's a major accomplishment to weigh more than everyone else - ha!
Josh & I both missed the first time Samuel rolled over too! I was sleeping in for the first time since he'd been born, and Josh was in the kitchen making coffee and when he walked back in the room Sam was on his belly! Sam is 17 1/2 lbs and 27 inches at 4 months, he and Colson should hang out :) I hope they can meet soon!
He was just saying "Roll into the New Year with me!!" Do you realize we have that same date 4 times this year...also on 1/11/11 and on 11/1/11 and on 11/11/11...wow! Colson will be a pro by any of these dates! You'll catch many more along the way!

Timothy weighs 15.5 at nine months.. but he was/is a preemie, so we arent concerned.. Colson is so cute though.. I love chunky monkey babys!

I missed Aaron's first roll, too. He was also huge and I loved it. I felt like he was more substantial - not as fragile as all those 'normal-sized' babies. HA!

What a cute little chunky monkey! I love when they are like that and have the fat you can squeeze and tickle at the top of their thighs. :) I miss those days. Cherish every moment...although I know you already are! ;) Have a great evening.

So cute! We missed Brylie's first too, she rolled over in her crib at nap time...:( AND....she is 7 months and wears 18 month clothes----big babies are so cute!!!
He is very cute. My 5 month old weighs 17 lbs and is 9 month clothing, although I am thinking he is going to be moving to 12 month before too long! He just started rolling over too - so sorry you missed his first roll!

We missed Dillon's first roll, too - it was in the middle of the night! We heard something go off, a toy in his crib. I was afraid his foot had hit it, and so Chris went to turn it off. He came back in our room and said, "Diane, Dillon's on his stomach." From that time on, he slept and did most things on his stomach. Ha!

It seems this post became about comparing baby ages and weights..If Katie is so surprised that Colson is a big baby it must be b/c Zach was a small baby.
I love how big he is! So cute. My girl is 11 months and still in 9 months clothes. She's so tiny!
