Let's Play

I love routine, but I also enjoy when we are not on any schedule.

Apparently Z is the same way. He loves school, the gym, and Sunday school...except when we've been out of going for awhile.

When I took him to Sunday school yesterday, he was hysterical. Since he rarely does this, my heart just broke in pieces. I stood outside his room and waited until he stopped. When I picked him up his teacher said he had been fine, and of course he was so busy playing he didn't even come to me.

When we got in the car I asked him if he had fun. He said, "Yes. I cried for you." I said, "Why did you cry?" and he answered, "Because I wanted you." My heart is still melting.

He starts school this week, and thankfully Jason is taking him. ; ) Maybe he'll be excited to see his teacher and all his friends.

New Year's Eve Day we went to a friend's 1st birthday party, and it was a perfect winter day to be outside. The sun was shining, and Z loved every second. He was busy on the playset most of the time.

More sweet friends & babies
Jill, Kellen (birthday boy!), Ava, Abby, Sha, W, Cols, me, Parker, Stacy, Payton, Mandy, & Hunter
Who doesn't love pictures like this!?

Sitting on the couch is Ava, Parker, West, Hunter & Noah

Today we met some friends at a bounce house place. We had a great time holding babies and watching our little boys run around. These places are wonderful!
Us, Zachary, Heather, Haley, & Jennifer
Z ran in like he owned the place, and this is what I saw most of the time. He was not interested in pictures. ; )
My big boy

I love recording our family's life. Especially what Zach says, and one day what Colson will say to us. Lately, Zach has been telling us some things he wants to do, and then he'll add, "Sound good, Mom?" Such a smartie.

...let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus...

It always makes me sad when Aaron tells me he misses me.
He got hurt one day last fall at school and they called me. They reassured me he was fine so I didn't go pick him up. When I got him that afternoon, he said "I cried for you and you didn't come get me." I felt so bad.

Brayden starts MDO on Thursday. I totally need it, but I can't help but get this little pain in my heart knowing that it just means he's growing up. Parenthood is such a pull of emotions in every direction!

when my littlest one was having such a hard time at school it broke my heart. I asked her why she was crying. She said, "You know how when you feel like you have to cry and there are tears in your eyes?" I nodded my head and she said, "Well, I just couldn't hold it in any longer, so I just cried."

I did too!

My heart melted reading this post! I can only hope Timothy is like Zach when he gets to be his age. Right now, at nine months-- he is all about daddy! Nonstop!

And I can't wait to see what words and phrases come out of his mouth... Right now, we got "hey" "bye" "da-da".. But I am so proud of those few words!! :)

I know how you feel about the school stuff. My 3 year old has had a hard time in his new preschool since he started in September, he told me the other day "I just don't like it Mommy." I really need the break and the time with my 1 year old, but MAN, it's roughhhh.
