School Days

Zach started school this week. Yea! He loved every second, and when I picked him up he said, "I played in the playroom." He has also been marching a lot, so I'm sure he does this at school, too. Ha!
Quick smile before Jason took Z for donuts on his first day. ; )
I have thought a lot this week how glad I am it's not this time last year. Now I have this cute face to spend my mornings with while Zach is playing and hopefully learning something, too.
Sweet thing.
Colson had a big week as well. At his two month check-up he weighed two more pounds than Zach did at this age. He is also in the 100% for weight and height. He was all smiles before he got his shots. ; (
He looks like he is saying, "I have a secret!"

Thanks for the tips about getting Colson to sleep through the night. It's neat to hear what works for different people. I love new ideas! It's Friday so this means Jason is on call. ; ) Yea!

The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy and loving-kindness, O Lord, endure forever--forsake not the works of Your own hands.

What an amazing thing to hold your baby, look in their faces, and see them smiling back at you! What a treasure.

Colson is so cute! My little man comes home 'marching' a lot too... Come to find out it's from when they sing 'I'm in the Lord's Army' during music time. He loves it!

PS - I so jealous you got to meet the Duggars. Such a sweet family!

Your boys are so cute! I didn't comment on your last post but I saw someone comment about moms on call. One of the women who started it is my neighbor and we have used it with all three of my kids. My youngest is 6 weeks old and sleeps from about 9-4 each night. We never would have survived without her and moms on call!

My little girl was 3 months old and right at 11-12 lb before she slept thru the night. And at that I mean 12 hours straight!! I used one of the "Swaddle Me" wraps and did until she was about 6 months and could really squirm her way out. Then we slowly loosened it and weaned her away from it and just switch to a Halo Sleepsack. I'm pregnant with #2 now and will be using the Swaddle Me wrap again for sure!!

Your boys are so precious!! That picture of Colson is adorable - love that smile! Going to check out that post where people gave suggestions for sleeping through the night - my little guy is 3 1/2 months and not quite getting the hang of it yet. :) Hope you had a restful night!

I REALLY wanted to hear her speak, but we were just too busy at work. :(
I used the Babywise book for my kids, but they weren't good sleepers either so it really didn't help us.
I've said before I could give the Duggars a run for their money if you could start babies off at 6 months. The sleepless nights are oh so hard, but you'll forget about them in no time.

Oh the sleep. I have a friend who told me with both our baby #2:

- don't worry, it's just the first six weeks.

which became

- don't worry, it's really the first 3 months

which became

- really, it's the first half year, isn't it? We'll get through it.

which became

- you know, the whole first year is just really hard.

:) And we loved those babies to bits, but that year was pretty hard. With baby #5, I haven't had one give me a run for my money again until this one. Lots of sleeplessness ... but it's okay. It'll all work out in the end. One day and one night at a time.
