Santa Baby

Zach loves Christmas lights. He says, "More ights more ights!" without the "l." It's cute. Jason and I took him this past week to see the lights and all the excitement on the square. It was a perfect night.

Riding a pony
Jason and Z on a camel
Walking along...
Cutie pie
This is the best we could do. I know I know, Santa looks kind of scary, but he was so nice! He looked great in person. ; )

A few "Cook & Conquer" answers ~

1. Elli divided up the meals into three groups...five chicken dishes, five beef, and five "other" dishes which was a lot of pasta. Yum!

2. If we had any preferences we let her know before she chose the meals. For example, Jason does not like onions. You can't always please everyone, but we didn't have a problem and you can always add things later if you want.

3. Each recipe tells how much of each ingredient you must have to meet your group's needs (cooking for three families, six families, nine families, etc.).

4. I will be happy to post my three recipes, but I'll also include the names of the the recipe books they came from. They are full of great freezer recipes. I just need to get it all together. ; )

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. I'm all about this idea...not worrying about cooking each night, trying fifteen new meals, having healthy food choices, and saving money, too!

This picture of Reese with Jason looking at her melts my heart. I hope we have another daughter who looks just like her! She's perfect.

God's way is perfect. All the LORD's promises prove true.

Psalm 18:30

I have been thinking about you alot lately with Christmas coming. I know it will be hard, but I am sure Z is keeping your spirits up. He is such a blessing to have around during such a time. Helps you keep your sweet head up!

I love the cooking idea!!! You will have to help me with that at Christmas. Can't wait to see you and watch our wild boys run around Bunny's delicate house! ha!

She is definitely perfect and both of your sweeties have such adoring parents-- they are truly lucky for that. We are having lots of fun teaching Mason about the fun things surrounding Christmas, too-- "yights" is his version of the word! :)

Zach is having the time of his life.
And he is not afraid of Santa. My niece, who is 3 years old, already said that she wants Santa to bring the gifts, but she doesn't want to see him because she is afraid.

The picture is really wonderful.

I"m just now catching up on the blogs. I love the cook and conquer meals concept. Please post the recipes. I couldn't get Riley to ride the camel. We didn't see Santa on the square, but I'm pretty sure he would have kept his distance from that one. HA!

Katie...I've followed your blog since I found you on Kelly's Korner when you had sweet Reese. I have commented a few times here and there, but wanted to tell you that I just love the scripture verses that you put at the end of your posts. Your faith is so strong, and even when you are lonely and weak, you know in your heart that God is still there and loves you. What an encouragement to others to see you model this in your life, despite what you've been through. I truly have enjoyed your blog so much, and I think about you here and there and lift you up in prayer when I do. I am sure we will never meet on this side of heaven, but I certainly look forward to it one day. May God continue to bless you and shine through you.
