Christmas in Heaven

This sweet poem was read during Reese's candle lighting service. Can you imagine spending your very first Christmas in Heaven?

I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below, with tiny lights like Heaven's stars reflecting on the snow.

The sight is so spectacular please wipe away that tear,
for I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear,
but the sound of music can't compare with the Christmas choir up here.

I have no words to tell you of the joy their voices bring
for it is beyond description to hear the angels sing.

I know how much you miss me, I see the pain inside your heart
But I am not so far away, we really aren't apart.

I can't tell you of the splendor or the peace here in this place
Can you just imagine Christmas with our Savior face to face?

I'll ask Him to lift your spirit as I tell Him of your love
so then pray for one another as you lift your eyes above.

Please let your hearts be joyful and let your spirit sing
for I am spending Christmas in Heaven, and I’m walking with the King.

~ Wanda Bencke

Those little wrinkles where my hand is holding Reese's head always do me in. So precious. It's my favorite part of this picture.

A dear friend told me that instead of wishing me a Merry Christmas she was going to pray for me a Merry Christmas. I love this.

From the lips of children and infants
You have ordained praise...

Psalm 8:2

I haven't commented in forever, but I always check your blog. I just continue to lift you up in prayer and in my thoughts. You are one of the most grace filled women and I am amazed at your strength. I will be saying a little prayer for you this Christmas as well as each time I read about your sweet Reese.

Katie- Such a sweet post, but what is so sweet is that today really isn't christmas in heaven, nor will tatum "celebrate" her birthday in heaven on may 15. YET, EVERY single day is a celebration that our girls spend with our Lord and Savior. Wow- can you imagine how glorious it is?? Every day is 1000.x better than Christmas on earth (which is pretty much my favorite time of the year!) Still thinking and praying for you daily!!

Beautiful picture of a gorgeous baby girl. My heart goes out to your and your family at this trying holiday.

Reese is indeed spending her Christmas amongst the angels. She is up there with MY Momma who I lost on August 27, 2009. I'm sure it's quite the party.

Lots of love from our house to yours.

I am nearly sobbing right now. That little wrinkle is darling ... so soft and so "her" and so real. She must seem extra close when you look at that little wrinkle and remember holding her precious, heavy little head.

I check this blog nearly every day and I pray for you every single time I click on it, whether there is a new post or not.

My son just turned four months on Sunday, and its so hard to think what I would do with out him. I love him so. I pray for u almost as much as I look at my son. Healing from your c-section must have been so hard. I wish u the best Christmas God can let u have. Just remember that one day u will see her again.
