For Good

I loved all the reactions to Jason and Zach surfing. I guess we live a little on the wild side. Ha! Just kidding. Jason is quite the thrill seeker, so maybe Z has some of this in him? Surfing is so much fun and one of my favorite things to do at the lake. I guess it's one of Zach's favorites, too.

Since most of you were wondering how it ended...just fine! When someone finishes surfing he (or she) tells the spotter who tells the driver and the boat slows down. The wake disappears, the surfer sinks into the water and waits to be picked up. ; )

Throughout this year so many wonderful gifts have been given in Reese's name! We are thrilled she is living on through lives changed for eternity and want to share some of those gifts we have received.

*More than twenty Gideon Bibles have been donated in her name.

*Esther's House Orphanage in Malawi, Africa ~ Over thirty families donated to this orphanage through our church in Reese's memory.

*Samaritan's Purse donations

*A wedding dress was donated in honor of Reese.
"Women donate their cherished wedding gowns to the project and volunteers give of their time, talents and love by making the baby burial gowns and blankets." (www.marymadelineproject.org)

*Eleven families made donations to Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep (Remembrance Photography).

*American Heart Association donations

*A star was officially named after Reese.

Donations were given to organizations in honor of Reese from people we've never met, but thankfully GOD knows. I can't wait to find out who they are in Heaven. ; )

In addition to donations made in Reese's name, I have received the most thoughtful personal gifts...for Zach, Colson and me. You know who you are. ; ) We have been blown away by others' sensitivity.

Any donations Jason and I make now will be given in honor of Reese. This makes giving even more special to us.

As I've shared before Lisa McSpadden from Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep was our photographer who took all of our professional pictures with Reese. She was unbelievable. She has such a special gift of being with families during an extremely devastating time.

She spoke at a BirthNetwork of Northwest Arkansas meeting and shared Reese's Life Moments video. What an honor! Anything to share our beautiful daughter's life.

Reminders that others are thinking of and loving Reese are such incredible gifts to Jason and me. I love sharing her with all of you. What blessings are in store for all of your giving hearts. Thank you!

You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.

I read the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep article in the NWA magazine from a few months ago. It is a wonderful organization. I am so glad that the program was there for you and other families to be able to have special photos of your children. It is wonderful how people are helping to remember Reese.

Wow...

Thanks for mentioning the wedding gown project. I had no idea there was such a thing....Going to think about donating my gown, and I wonder if I can do it in Janie's name? It would give me great joy to know that my gown went to such a wonderful cause, and to know that my Jane lives on...

Reese will never be forgotten.
