This afternoon I went to a baby shower for Desty at Shannon's house. Desty is one of FIVE women pregnant in our small group at church and is due in three weeks with a little girl. Lots of babies!
Just chillin' with my toothbrush.
Hillary and me at her rehearsal.
My hair with actual waves in it...this is a miracle!
We carried bouquets of green roses. They were beautiful!
The weather could not have been better. It rained a bit that afternoon, and then the sun came out shining!
Yea! Jason made it safe and sound. He rented a plane and flew to the wedding so he didn't have to drive. I was so happy to see him.
Glam bride!
Whoooooooo PIG SOOIE!!!
Work it girl!
Hil seeing her groom before the wedding. I LOVE peeking in when the bride and groom first see each other!
Smile! There was a wasp that liked my bouquet, so I was hoping it did not bother me during the ceremony. That would not have been good!
Jenny and Laura sneaked in the bride's room for a peak.
Hillary LOVES cupcakes, so she wanted these instead of a wedding cake. Her wedding colors green, black, and white were a beautiful combination.
My Mama and Dado
Jason and his parents...sometimes I think Zach looks so much like his G-Daddy!
The bride and groom dancing their first dance...
Jason and I flew back home after the wedding with an almost full moon and a sky full of stars. A perfect ending to a perfect day.
I know that GOD has amazing things planned for Hillary and Josh!
"For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the LORD. They are plans for peace and not disaster, plans to give you a future filled with hope."
Jeremiah 29:11
Lately Jason and I have been living "green." Well...at least with one car. My husband Jason "wheels and deals" cars on a regular basis. He has done this for several years, and knows everything there is to know about any type of vehicle. I'm clueless, so this works well for us! However, I am also sentimental and get very attached to certain cars, so this is sometimes hard for me to handle. I'm getting better though...alittle.
Jason bought a Prius at the beginning of the summer, and we waited several weeks to get it. I didn't think he would drive it very long since he usually drives larger cars, but I was happy to have at least one vehicle with good gas mileage. I even enjoyed driving it around town with it's "race car" feel.
So I was very surprised when he came home with this the other day. What?! A smaller car - are you crazy!? Is this go cart even safe!?
Just kidding! Jason sold the Prius, and the man who bought it owned this Smart Car. He wanted something a little bigger. Of course, Jason had to take it for a spin around the block!
Yesterday Zach and I ate lunch with Hil for the LAST TIME before she is a married woman. Woohoo! It was bittersweet. I was sad, but of course, Zach was clueless and happy. I really don't know how I didn't get a pic with Hil. Maybe because after she took this pic Zach spilled a glass of water all over my lap! Oh well. I was just telling Hil how uneventful our lunch has been. Zach had been very occupied with his Cheerios and people walking past him. Such is motherhood, as Hil would say!
Last time we ate together she said, "Motherhood sure is humbling, isn't it?" YES!!
Zach chilling with his new toy. He LOVES wheels. I wonder who he gets that from!?
Best buds! Zach is not so sure about grass yet...
This afternoon the girls in our small group threw a baby shower at my house for Jennifer. She is due in October with a baby boy name Brody. I was so excited because I was finally able to use Shella's (my grandmother) plates and napkin holder.
I loved how the petit fours turned out. Booties, rattles, bottles, and "B"s. Delicious!
We had a wonderful turn out. These girls are great!
Jennifer gave us a yummy chocolate chip cookie mix as a thank you. So cute!
Of course, I had to include a pic of Zach watching me take the balloons down. It was a beautiful day!
