the Red Balloon

Ya'll are so sweet. If only I took many more opportunities to just play with my boys! I feel like a terrible mom a lot of times, but I know Satan is VERY good at making us mothers feel guilty for not being "perfect." He takes advantage of every opportunity he can. All we can do is our best, and I try to remember this. ; )

A sweet woman emailed to tell me about this balloon tile art pendant she saw on etsy. It reminded her of us because of the 100 balloons we released on Reese's first birthday. One was red and the others were white, cream, and different shades of pink.

When I saw this charm I knew it had to be mine. ; ) It's PERFECT and even has the faded balloons in the background. It's from the "Life is Beautiful" series. I love it.

My littlest man

Just in case you're wondering, Z doesn't always want be in our pics. Imagine that! I ask him, but he has other important things to do. ; )

I hope everyone is staying warm. It is February, so it's getting closer to spring each day!

Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy.

Psalm 64:1

You stay warm too. I know it is much colder for you there than it is for us here in Texas. BUT we are actually getting a few flurries. Woohoo! :)

  4. I love that charm!! You have been on my mind a lot the last few weeks. Please do not take offense - I know loosing a pet is nothing like loosing a child but as I sorrow for my sweet, old dog, I think of you. Perhaps that isn't a bad thing because it has made me more sensitive to those longings you have. Just as I long to rub those silky ears, you long to hold Reese close. I love how you play with your boys! Those will be memories they will keep and treasure. Encourage those imaginations and enjoy visiting the forts, space stations, etc.

  9. Love that charm! how perfect... I have a 2.5 year old that hates being in pictures now too! I feel like I have to explain why all my pics are of my 6 month old and not him! They are MUCH easier to pose when they're little :)
