Trick or Treat

Another funny story (at least to me!) I want to remember about Zach ~

Last night while I was getting him ready for bed, he was marching across the bathroom floor. This is how our conversation...

"Zach, are you marching? Do you march at school?"
"No, I sit in time out."
"You what?" (I didn't understand him).
"I sit in time out."
"Time out? Why do you go to time out?"
"Because I run."
"Oh, you run when you are supposed to walk?"
"Mmm mm."
"Zach, Mommy doesn't want you to get into trouble at school. Why do you run and have to sit in time out?"
"I don't know, Mom."

He amazes me with our little talks! His teacher has never mentioned any problem concerning Zach, so I'm not too worried. At least he's honest. ; )
My sweet boy and me before trick or treating
All ready!
We trick or treated with Westin. I have a feeling it's the first of many times together. Next year we'll have three little boys running around. ; )
Oh, yes, it was my son who told a few people, "I don't want that one," and put a piece of candy back into their bowl! The people didn't know quite how to respond. At least he always said "Thank you!" no matter what. ; )
Way too much candy!
Zach was sweet to share with Colson. Ha!
Yummy!

You are mighty, O LORD, and Your faithfulness surrounds You.

I Want Candy

Last night we took the boys to our church's fall festival. We told Zach he would get to play games and eat candy. Sounded perfect to him. ; )
Our little race car driver
Is this funny to anyone else? I am still laughing out loud about the "throw a sponge at this poor woman" booth. Bless her heart. I mean, seriously!?
Who thought of this? It's crazy!
Fishing for candy
A few of the goods

What a fun night, and I see many more in our future!
This morning between asking for Dum Dums and playing outside, Zach managed to "share" some of his stuffed animals with Colson.
He didn't seem to mind. ; )
Awww...sweet hugs

Have a wonderful weekend!

But I have trusted in Your faithful love, my heart will rejoice in Your deliverance.

Still

Jason and I are so thankful for our sons. They fill our arms and bring laughter to our home. In their own ways they are wonderful brothers to their sister (even though they don't know it yet!).

It's a continual heartbreak for me to know what I am and always will be missing with Reese. I would have loved watching Jason with a little girl, too. I saw a glimpse of how precious their relationship was her two days with us. She has taught me to squeeze the life out of every moment we have with our boys and each other.
Thank you for continuing to pray for us and love us! GOD is good.

He stilled the storm to a whisper;
the waves of the sea were hushed.

Another Fall Weekend

Where does the time go? Even when the days are long time seems to fly by. It's almost November!

My parents came up for the Razorback game, and of course we had to go to the Backwoods Barn. Colson had not been yet. ; )

I don't like catfish, but they have lots of other goodies to eat. Zach tried fried shrimp for the first time. He's kind of picky, so I'm happy for him to try anything new. He ate three of them then told my mom, "I don't like that." Ha!

I also painted Reese's pumpkin.

My parents kept the boys Saturday night so Jason and I could go out to eat. We are so used to yelling over Zach just to talk to one another at home it's nice to eat and talk together in peace. ; ) Thanks, Mom and Dad! Zach and Colson loved every second with ya'll.

Jason taught Z how to use the remote. He knows more than I do about it!

All ready for church

With the days getting dark earlier I feel like it's time for bed at 7:30. Am I the only one? This is not good because the time change hasn't even happened yet. I like sunshine. ; )

Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! His faithful love endures forever.

Shirts

Other sweeties who wore Reese's shirt on October 15th. Each picture touches me deeply. Friends and family - some in different cities, different states - all honoring and loving Reese on a special day. I have a few more to share, but I couldn't wait to show these. ; )

Lately...

we've been playing with Westin!

One day I took Westin and Colson with me to run errands, and I got some very strange looks. Someone even asked me if they were twins.
Yesterday I had all three boys (by myself!) at the house. Thank goodness Shannon trusts me. ; )
Z and W had a fun time on the mat
until W got a little rough. Ha!
Sweet West
We spent most of the morning outside. It was a beautiful day, and the boys loved it. Z played with his trucks and helped me entertain the babies.

Thanks for spending time with us, Westin!

I can't believe how quickly Colson is growing.
Our chunky monkey
This onesie is 9 months. I am already putting away clothes I thought he would wear in the spring because they are too small. Crazy!

I saw the most beautiful tree today. The leaves were bright red. Just gorgeous. I think the Lord and Reese painted it just for me to see.

*I'm so glad you liked the frames! I'm so sorry I can't be much help about them or the Faith heart. The frames came from Spanker Creek Farm, and the heart came from a booth at the Rogers Convention Center. Neither booth had cards or websites available or I would be happy to share their information.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?

School Pic

It's a keeper when you have this great band-aide on your face for school pictures...
I completely forgot about school picture day (seriously?!). Z wouldn't let his teacher take it off for the picture, so they tried to "angle" him a certain way so it wasn't showing as much. Ha!

This is what memories are made of. Cute thing. ; )

...they believed His promises
and sang His praise.

One of My Favorites

Thank you for your sweet encouragement Friday. I wish I could give you all a big hug! I felt very supported and loved.

Every October my mom, her friends and I go to the different NWA craft fairs for three days. It's one of my favorite times of the year. ; )
Claudia, my mom and me

We get up SO early to go to War Eagle because we like to be there before it opens at eight. It's crazy. Thankfully, Colson is sleeping through the night now so the timing was perfect. ; )
Shannon, Trish, my mom & I wearing Reese's shirts

I loved wearing this shirt all day. A few women stopped us to ask about it, and it was special for me to share about our daughter. I plan to wear it every October 15th.

I'm going to share pictures of friends and family wearing their shirt as soon as I receive all of them. ; )
Us
(Colson's shirt is little too big for him right now...he'll wear his next year)
I love that my birthday falls during this time, too. Jason and I went out Friday night, and he also surprised me with this ice cream cake. My favorite!
My sweet Dad sent me flowers
I found a frame for Colson. Yea!
Zach was ten days, Reese was two days and Colson was eight days old in these pictures.
I love how all of them look together.
Another fun find
Yesterday we went to a birthday party for one of Zach's friends, and I painted these little pumpkins there. I didn't have time to do one for Reese, but I'll do it this week. What a great idea for a kid's party!

So thankful for sweet family and friends, laughter, kettle corn, and perfect weather. Hope everyone had a nice fall weekend, too. ; )

*Colson's monthly stickers came from www.pickysticky.com.

*My friend Jenny made Colson's little onesie in his 3 month post. ; )

Finally, be strengthened by the LORD and by His vast strength.
