Jason and I are so thankful for our sons. They fill our arms and bring laughter to our home. In their own ways they are wonderful brothers to their sister (even though they don't know it yet!).
It's a continual heartbreak for me to know what I am and always will be missing with Reese. I would have loved watching Jason with a little girl, too. I saw a glimpse of how precious their relationship was her two days with us. She has taught me to squeeze the life out of every moment we have with our boys and each other.
Thank you for continuing to pray for us and love us! GOD is good.
He stilled the storm to a whisper;
the waves of the sea were hushed.
Psalm 107:29
What a precious smile!!! Praying for you today;)!!!
ReplyDeleteAmazing how sweet Reese was probably one of life’s greatest teachers for y’all!! And years from now you’ll still be learning from her :) Love you much, friend!!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet boy!!! Will pray for you guys!!
ReplyDeletePrayers for you during these times when you miss your little girl so much.
ReplyDeleteYour boys are PRECIOUS!
Oh, what a cutie pie...continuing to pray for you all!
ReplyDeleteHey, if you want to come to my house for dinner this week, that would be great! ;)
I think about you all every single day. Reese is so loved.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet little boy! I love how happy he is there. Reese was an amazing gift of love and reminding of love. That has to mean a lot to you even through your sorrows. You are a strong woman!
ReplyDeleteCass
I struggle with that too....
ReplyDeleteI am always so sad to know my husband won't get to be dad to his two little boys. I guess I hold on to hope that while God took that opportunity away from him here on earth that maybe He has something better for Him to come in eternity....
It is still a very hard daily reality. ((Hugs))
God is so good! I love that smile...melts your heart.
ReplyDeleteLifting you up now, Katie...
There are always those poignant moments when she is 'missing' aren't there? I am praying for you Katie. What a funny Colson!
ReplyDeleteOhmygosh those cheeks!! :)
ReplyDeleteKatie, I wish I had stopped you. I'm sure you get that a lot though. Our weekends are full of races this month and next. So fun, now that I can get around to it. I love going around the state for the Grand Prix. Chasing this girlie is pretty fun, although big bro isn't that thrilled! Ha!
ReplyDeleteReese will always be in all of our hearts!! My prayers are with you and your precious family.
ReplyDeleteKaren
They are such precious boys such a blessing to see you with them.
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean. No matter how many children we have we'll always be missing our sweet Luke. We've been trying to make him a big brother for almost a year now (he took a little over 3 years...) they'll always know they had/have a very special big brother who is waiting for us in heaven. Hard to believe my sweet boy just celebrated his first birthday in heaven.
I went into the Christmas section at our local store and as you can imagine with baby's first Christmas it sent me into tears. It breaks my heart our babies aren't with us.
Continually praying for you!
Praying for you! I know what it is like to have a daughter in Heaven. Amber and Reese are together and we will see them again one day.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Donna
I LOVE the pic of Colson. We think of Reese STILL...she'll always be a part of your family...and we will always think of her when we think of Z and C. AND ONE DAY WE WILL SEE HER! Can you imagine what heaven will be like??? When she meets Z and C ??? Love you so much!
ReplyDeleteStill praying for you.
ReplyDeleteKatie,
ReplyDeleteI was excited to learn this morning that you will be speaking at Antioch in Conway in December. My daughter, Rachel, is Director of their Women's Ministries. I know you will be such a blessing to the ladies. I follow your blog and think and pray for you and your family often. I will also be praying for you as you prepare to speak in Conway.
With Christian Love,
Debbie Swart
