Haircut

A few years ago I decided I was going to cut Zach's hair. I thought why not save a little time and money? I was determined and didn't think it could be all that hard. Ha!

The first time I tried I was nervous and Jason hovered tried to help a bit too much so I gave the scissors to him. ; ) He did a great job and continues to cut the boys' hair. There have been a few funny haircuts, but I won't be sharing those pictures. ; )
Pitiful face! I promise he is happy. Colson and I are usually in there distracting him.
He actually can be still sometimes. ; )
I love this!

I want to remember something cute he said in Walmart yesterday. I was rushing around while the boys were happy and must have told Zach I wanted to get "one more thing." Since we were close to something else I wanted to see, I said it again. He said, "But I thought this stop was your one last thing."

That boy doesn't miss anything! He is in such a sweet stage, and I am loving every minute. Two and a half to 3 1/2 about did me in. ;)

But even the hairs of your head are all numbered.

  7. I cut my daughter's hair. People always tell me it looks cute! It's funny because all I do is put her in front of an episode of Dora and use our drawer scissors.

I know you are enjoying Zach's funny age. My daugther is the same age & I started writing down all the funny things she has said. Last night we went to get groceries for a recipe. I put the bags in the front seat when we left. We pulled off and she said, "Mom I wanted the ingredients to ride back here with me." Who calls them ingredients at 3? My husband is crazy smart & I secretly hope she gets his brains. However, I also caught her drinking fresh water out of our dog's bowl...so the jury is still out!

  13. Brian wanted me to cut his hair when we lived in Arkansas as a way to save money. I was soooo stressed trying to cut it. I hated every second of it. I only did it that one time. Now, he cuts his own hair. I should get him to cut Grady's. Love the mirror pic too and Miss Reese's picture as well. :)

  14. Katie I'm so glad to hear that Zach is in a sweet stage! Makes me feel like there's a light at the end of the tunnel. Ever since Noah turned 3 it's been a little rough around here :) But I've heard that around 3 1/2 or definitely by 4 it starts to get better, so I'm hanging on!

    Your boys are cuties!

  15. I totally agree. If they weren't so cute and huggable during those times...I'd rather just jump ahead to 4! :) My oldest is just now 4, he's so much easier to reason with and the meltdowns are very few now. But just entering into the 2's with the youngest...:( Funny thing is the oldest is like "what's wrong with her?" ha!!
