I have never had so many people ask me if I had read the book Heaven is for Real. I love to read but have only read a handful of books since Colson was born. When my mom gave me this book I was excited to finally have it in my hands. I finished it early this morning reading in bed with a flashlight. ;)
I loved it. It gave me chills and goosebumps. Reading about this little boy's glimpse into Heaven gave me a vivid picture of where Reese is. A place more beautiful than my mind can fully imagine and a place we will spend eternity!
Get it. Read it. You'll be encouraged and blessed.
Happy May!
But as Scripture says: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined the things that God has prepared for those who love Him."
1 Corinthians 2:9
My mom told me it is a must read! I have it, but haven't started it yet. Looking forward to it though! :)
ReplyDeleteI have heard so much about it! I also want to read it!! :)
ReplyDeleteHow wild.....I just picked it up at Sam's about an hour ago. My 12 year old daughter grabbed it and can not put it down. I'm anxious for her to finish so I can get started. She keeps coming in wanting to tell me things from the book and I have to shush her :)Can't wait to read it and be able to chat with her about it.
ReplyDeleteI thought of you when I read this.
ReplyDeleteWasn't it encouraging to know that the rest of her siblings will all know Reese when they see her again...even if you have more children that join your family...?Such a precious book...and yes, a glorious glimpse of life to come.
I am definitely adding the book to my list. I have heard really good reviews on it!
ReplyDeleteLoved it. Very comforting to those of us who have lost a loved one. :)
ReplyDeleteA friend was just telling me about how much she loved that book and told me I definitely need to read it!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is my next book on my list to read... I can't wait and I'm SO glad you were able to read it and were encouraged!! :)
ReplyDeleteReese is such a happy little girl right now :)
I am leaving tomorrow on a trip with my husband and baby boy and this is the first thing on my reading list. My sister is the first one that suggested I read it. My mom passed away in October of 2009 and she said that this book was so awesome to read especially when you have someone close to you that is already in Heaven. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeletewow. so wierd that you posted about this. My mom gave me this book for easter but havnet had a chanc to read it yet with a busy almost three year old. But now I cant wait.
ReplyDeleteHow crazy is it we were talking about this book in Sunday school. Alot of us had chills and were crying because 3 of us have 5 babies in heaven. I can't wait to read this book.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I mentioned this but we're getting an amazing early christmas gift our second baby is due in December. I only wish Luke were here as well I know he'd make a great big brother. But I know he has alot of great friends up in heaven to play with :)
Haha, you sound like me! I used to have to read all the time with a flashlight in bed :). Maybe that's why Bobby got me the Kindle cover with the built in LITTLE light :).
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to add that to my list of must reads!
Oh my!!! What a WONDERFUL book!!!! Having lost a baby myself it was a breath of fresh air to think about where that baby is and how we will spend Eternity!!! Even though I don't really know you, I thought of you as I read it!
ReplyDeleteI agree... I loved it when I read it last month. It's one of those rare reads that makes a lasting impression. I found it quite comforting as I thought of my loved ones in heaven.
