Lately I've been looking for a stool for Zach to use at the sink. We have been picking him up every time to wash his hands. Crazy. I found this one at Hobby Lobby on accident and thought it was so cute! I knew it would be fun to paint it with him.
Of course I did most of the work, but Z liked watching me. ; )
This little guy helped me sand it.
Melts my heart a million times
When I painted primer on it Z told me, "I don't want it white!"
I love how it turned out and especially the red. I talked Z out of painting it brown. ; )
Cutie patootie
It works! I think he likes it. ; )
Can ya'll believe it's the middle of April? Sometimes I forget we haven't had Easter yet. I am loving these long sunny days!
But I am trusting You, O LORD, saying, "You are my GOD!" My future is in Your hands.
Psalm 31:14-15
Hey Friend! Love that stool and the fact that you have time to do things like that! (Just a little bit jealous...maybe :) Loving all these pictures of your boys - ADORABLE! Thinking of you and praying for you always! Love ya!

ReplyDeleteI especially love your little helper!! ADORABLE!!
I think this is a GREAT idea for a mommy & son project! I might just have to copy your idea & head to HobLob myself! =)
ReplyDeleteThat is a cute stool! Both of your boys are so adorable.
ReplyDeleteHow cute!! You did a great job on the stool.
ReplyDeleteI think of you often Katie and you are in my prayers. :-)

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun project! It turned out great! And how cute are both your boys? :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't thought that C looks like Z at all until I saw the second picture of him on this post. I LOVE red so I think the stool looks great!!
ReplyDeleteI love how happy Colson always looks! He brings a smile to my face!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder that I have an old stool of Graham's that I could re-do to use for Grady!
cute! I'm on the hunt for a stool for Brayden for the exact same reason.
ReplyDeleteI think Colson looks like Zack in that second picture!
Cute stool! Turned out great!
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous. I made the mistake of taking my twins to Target to buy ones that were Pottery Barn knockoffs for them. They spotted Barbie and Cars ones...so we still have Barbie and Cars stools in the cute little bathrooms where all the other decor is from Pottery Barn Kids.
ReplyDeleteHello Crafty! You did a great job! Love it and LOVE those boys!!
ReplyDeleteSo cute!!!! Z is just beyond precious!!! Such a handsome little boy!!! :)
ReplyDeleteWow Colson is really looking like Zach. Such cute boys.
ReplyDeleteLove the stool, it turned out great!!! He is such a cutie and looks so proud!
ReplyDeleteI remember the first time our oldest realized the new potential in a stepstool. He started carrying a little wooden one around the house and it greatly increased the amount of trouble he could get into. :) Now, 6 kids later - they all reach that point when they see, "Oooh - look at what I can reach if I'm 18 inches taller!" :)
ReplyDeleteSuper cute boys! BTW I love the scripture you put at the bottom of each blog post! Always seems like it's something I need to read that day:)
ReplyDeleteYou did such a great job! I just love Hobby Lobby! Do you want to come make one for my house?!?
ReplyDeleteLove the stool. That turned out great!
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day, Katie!
I always read your blog but never comment....we have the same stool and I love it (it is our time out spot though so my daughter not so much) Anyways I too bought it at hobby lobby so I know it is the same and the legs were not glued into the bottom of ours so you may want to double check yours we had ours tip over when standing on it b/c a leg came out. Hope it prevents that for you.
ReplyDeleteThe stool is too precious. All it needs now is his name on it! I can see Zach or Rowe on it in my mind in white vinyl lettering. Too sweet, love your blog.

Nice paint job!
ReplyDeleteWow, you sanded, primed, and painted! So many times I try to skip a couple of those steps and pay for it later. Good for you for doing it right the first time! ha!
I had a little red stool that had a saying on it...
ReplyDeleteThis little stool is mine,
I use it all the time,
To reach the things I couldn't,
And lots of things I shouldn't!
I can't believe I remember that :O)
That's a great stool! And a great idea to save your backs too!
ReplyDeleteKatie, I do read your blog every single time you do a new post, and I guess I have turned into a lurker!
You have no idea how seeing your comment made my day and blessed me so much. I was so blessed to know you still think about me, and you have deeply touched my heart, for some reason. Once in a while, someone comes along in our lives that truly and deeply bless us and encourage us and become true friends.
You are that for me!
Yes, we deeply, deeply miss our Olivia. The one blessing is that I can look at Pennie and see how Olivia would have looked since they were identical. I was hoping I was done having my heart totally shattered, but God has more to teach me, so, I guess, so be it!
(Sorry this comment is so long, I seem to have lost your email address!)
Much love to you, dear one, and I will keep in touch!
