A few pics from the boys' lives ~
Colson's first ride in a "buggy" at the gym. I can't look at this picture without laughing. The little boy beside him is three days older, and he has SEVEN teeth and is already crawling and pulling himself up! Maybe he'll teach Colson. ; )
Colson's first time in the stroller without being in his carrier. Laid back as usual.
Another first. ; )
Colson's first time in the seat, and Zach's first time loose in the cart.
I didn't even have to buy Z fruit snacks to keep him quiet. He was thrilled with his new freedom. Success!
I heart Colson's little bottom sticking up in the air.
I've never run such a tight ship in my life. We are very scheduled, and it's nice in this season of life. I finally have the boys napping in the afternoon at the same time. It's wonderful! From 2:15 - 4:30/5 our house is silent. This doesn't happen every single day, but I'm thankful when it does.
Hanging out in Zach's crib
YES, he is still in it and loves it.
Colson may be just as loud as Zach. I was trying to hide from him because when he sees me he stops talking sometimes. I love all of his baby talk. Sweet sweet sounds. ; )
But You, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, and the One who lifts up my head.
Psalm 3:3
I had been wondering if Zach was still in his crib. Grady still is and it will stay that way for a looonnnngggg time! :) I love all your firsts!
ReplyDeleteThose are some gorgeous boys! CONGRATS on the afternoon schedule, I remember when I finally accomplished that! :) It is life-changing.
ReplyDeleteThey are really too cute for words.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate silence, too...but then I wonder if I should be holding/playing with my baby because time goes so fast. Yet here I am reading blogs while he naps :) I need my "me time" but then I look at him and think I should hold him while he'll let me - ahhh! So hard!
Waking up until for nap until 5 pm???...what time do they fall back to sleep..midnight?
ReplyDeleteoooo the bye bye buggy. That is Lauren's lifesaver at MDO. She won't cry if the buggy is out.
ReplyDeleteWOW! 4 hours of silence in you house daily! That's AWESOME! Good Job momma!! :)
ReplyDeleteThat one of all the babies in the buggy is so cute! It is always nice when the house is silent. I get 40 minutes of it in the afternoon (A doesn't nap, but stays quiet & B takes 40 min. naps.) and it is SO nice!
ReplyDeleteLove that buggy! The kids' expressions are priceless.
ReplyDeletehahaha..that buggy ride craks me up..how cool!!
ReplyDeleteyour boys are so adorable..thanks for sharing!
Such cute little guys and their fun firsts! Schedules make life soooo much easier. The kids stay happy and that keeps Mama happy! ;) Especially when they nap together--ahhhh time for you!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE hearing that sweet boys voice! Congrats on some afternoon quiet time! I miss it!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to need a copy of this schedule. 4 hours of silence? While you are awake? Yep, I'm jealous. :)
ReplyDeleteOh don't worry about Colson!! My daughter is a few days older than him! She was born July 8th, 2010, she has no teeth at all, sits unattended, can go from sitting to tummy like a champ, but does not crawl! She can spin herself around in a circle using her arms and pushing off with her legs while on her tummy, but no crawling at all!! He'll get there and so will mine!!
ReplyDeleteLove these pictures!! So cute!!
ReplyDeleteHi Katie - long time follower of your blog that finally came out of the shadows for a comment - your boys are soooo cute. I really love your blog - your faith is unshakeable, even in the face of loss. I need to learn from you!
ReplyDeleteBTW I had to tell you that I made the chocolate chip cake you gave the recipe for in a previous blog entry and it is currently being DEVOURED. SO GOOD and SO EASY! Try it people!
Again, many thanks for sharing your life and your faith with us. You have a beautiful family.

I always get a kick out of those huge strollers full of babes. I always wonder how they got them all in there to begin with!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about sneaking up to get the videos. Maggie and Grady both clam up when the camera comes out.
I know what you mean about the schedule!! A couple weeks ago I finally got both my boys napping 2:00-5:00 too and it has been amazing!! I feel like a new person! :)
ReplyDeleteColson and Zach are such cuties!!
I never comment on your blog, but love it. Love your spirit...and your writing is so real and refreshing. The scriptures at the ends are my faves. I'm so glad to see someone else has a kiddo over 3 still in a crib! My Ace loves his...why mess with a good thing, right? Thank you for sharing your beautiful family and your heart.
ReplyDeleteWhere did you gt the sleep sack that Colson is in, or is it just a blanket?
ReplyDeleteAww! I heart all those pictures! I love the grocery cart one especially. And with the crib thing.. I feel for sure T will be the same way! :)
ReplyDeleteLove that picture of all the babies in the buggy at the gym! Don't worry about Colson not keeping up w/ the others. I must say that with our first one we were anxious to get him walking, talking, etc. But by #7, you get much more relaxed and realize they'll figure it out eventually and it makes life easier when they're less mobile!!! :)
ReplyDeleteWe run a tight ship too - especially for naptime. It works so well, I wish more moms would consistently lay their babies down!! Even after they're past napping age, we still have an hour of quiet book time. (we homeschool so all 7 are home all day) It's great for their independent reading, but it's nice for me to get other things done too.
You're a great mom, Katie, keep it up! Gal. 6:9
That little buggy ride is hilarious!!! haha...it would be such a fun photo to show all of them when they are top executives at fortune 500 companies. LOL
ReplyDeleteLove your videos...
Blessings!
