Friday

Yea it's Friday!

Jason has been gone a few days this week, and I'm so glad he is back. We missed him like crazy. I feel like I can't completely relax when he is gone. My heart has been heavy for single moms. How brave they must be!

Z was so ready for his Daddy to be home because he has been wanting to ride the four wheeler. I can't drive both boys around by myself. Ha!

He has been saying some funny things that I want to remember. I also don't want to forget all the snow we had last week so I've thrown in a few more pics. ; )

"Mom, if I ate wood would it make me sick?"
"Yes, son, it would."
"Ok, then I'll just eat this eraser."
"Dad, can I please have some chips?"
Jason gives Zach some chips and says, "What do you say?"
Zach replies, "Don't take my chips away!"
"Colson is growing so big, right Mom?"
"Yes, Colson is getting big."
"He's growing so big at the doctor's office, right?"
"Colson looks like a zebra!"
"Why?"
"Look at his hair!"
"Mom, can I have some more broccoli, please?"
(My favorite!)
He was looking at Jason's wedding ring, and I told him he will have one when he marries a wonderful woman one day. He said, "And I make her happy?"
Ahh, melts my heart!

I've heard some birds chirping this week, so it must be a sign spring is around the corner, right? Have a wonderful weekend. ; )

  1. Hi Katie,

I had to laugh when reading your post! My youngest crawled up in my lap and was just totally enthralled with looking at the snow pictures you posted! I don't know if it was the snow or the 4 "leller". Thanks for the sweet comment yesterday. It made my day!

  9. What precious quotes! Trust me, sister, the more kids you have, the quotes either get lost or you can not remember who said it! :) Glad you are documenting. Hope spring is here soon, too. Have a great weekend.

  14. Katie,
Love, love, love that you are recording all these funny things Zach has been saying...you will treasure this someday!

I cannot believe you got so much snow in your neck of the woods. We got a lot, but not that much! We have been dealing with earthquakes. 40 in the last two days. Can you believe that? I can't...

    Have a great weekend!

  17. I've been a single mom this week too as my hubs is hosting a course in his office. He's been working 7 am- well after 10 pm. I have so much respect for single moms!! It's been so tiring!

  19. So, when do you think Zach will take his first trip to the ER for those stitches or a cast? He is one busy little boy.

I love those comments too. A few weeks ago my daughter's triplet boys were looking at their wedding pictures and one of them said, 'Daddy, you were almost as handsome as I am!' I think we need to work on some vanity issues!!

  23. I just love kid quotes! I can't wait to here some that Bryce comes up with when he is older...or maybe I can. ha!

  24. Love the Zach-isms!
I should totally write down the funny things that Grady says too.

Brian was out of town some last week too and it was hard! Definitely made me think of my fellow army wife friends who have husbands that are deployed. I've been through two deployments, but none as a mother. That definitely makes it harder!
