Jason and I had a wonderful time at our small group Christmas party last night. I cried I laughed so hard during our "gag or good" gift exchange. It's always classic. Usually a few of the same gifts show up to get passed on until next year.
A few of the girls brought their little babies, and I kept thinking how two years ago Jason and I brought Z to the same party when he was six weeks old. I remember that night like it was yesterday because I loved getting out with him and being with our friends. It was a big deal as new parents!

Sweet friends
Jason & me (I'm laughing at my hand) ; )
I will always remember how this group of friends was at the hospital constantly when Reese was born. I think they filled the waiting room before I was even released from recovery. The image of them surrounding us in my hospital room will never leave my memory. Some of them would come to the hospital just to sit in the lobby, but I knew they were there. I was so overwhelmed but at peace, too.
GOD surrounded us with amazing friends and family when Reese arrived and continues to bring people across our paths who are changing our lives. We will never be the same. Sweet Reese, only GOD could have known the impact you would make on your Daddy, me, and so many others.
A cheerful heart is good medicine...

True friends celebrate the highs and lows of life. When you laugh, they laugh and when you hurt, they hurt with you! Funny you should mention the hand...the last 3 months or so of pictures of me & David I am doing that exact same thing....hand on his belly! Must be a good prop for our hands! ;)
ReplyDeleteLove to see your strong support team! You have a solid rock to stand on!
