I love the song we chose for Reese's Life Moments video. The words are so powerful and describe me on my hard days. When all it seems I can do is breathe in and breathe out.
We can cry with hope
We can say goodbye with hope
'Cause we know our goodbye is not the end,
And we can grieve with hope
'Cause we believe with hope
We can say goodbye with hope
'Cause we know our goodbye is not the end,
And we can grieve with hope
'Cause we believe with hope
There's a place where we'll see your face again
We wait with hope
And we ache with hope
We hold on with hope
We let go with hope
By day the LORD directs His love,
at night His song is with me—
a prayer to the God of my life.
at night His song is with me—
a prayer to the God of my life.
Psalm 42:8
That is a beautiful song and sometimes breathing is all we can manage to do...that's okay. Hang in there Katie. We are praying for you!

That's beautiful, Katie. Just take it one day at a time. Praying for you.
ReplyDeleteHi sweetheart! These words are beautiful! They portray the very feelings that one goes through.
ReplyDeleteI read something the other day that I wanted to share with you. It said we can either embrace suffering/sorrow or we can let it consume us. Embrace it so that God can use it to transform and bless others.
You are definitly doing that! You are so strong....I know sometimes it doesn't feel like it..believe me I know. But you, your family, and Reese have already made such an impact on others through your words and actions! You just keep going day by day, doing what your doing...HE will see you through. You are in my thoughts and prayers constantly. Your peace will come.
Beautiful photo.. and song. I am so touched by your story. I'm praying for your family.

It's so beautiful Katie and Reese is so beautiful!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the picture of you and Reese. That same song was sang at Kate's funeral...it is a great song.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful picture and just keep breathing.
ReplyDeleteYour family video of Reese's Life Moments is absolutely amazing. Praise God! It captures and shouts out the love you share for Reese. The song is perfect. Your family is beautiful inside and out! I can not begin to imagine the emotions you and your family are going through. Just know that you are covered in thoughts and prayers as we all continue to pray daily for renewed hope, continued strength and consuming peace. Enjoy your weekend. Peace..Susan
ReplyDeleteKatie,
ReplyDeleteToday around lunch time you were so heavy on my heart and I just cried for you. My heart truly hurts for you. I just don't understand things sometimes. Then I receive an e-mail with your comment on my post. You are amazing and please know that you and Reese make me count my blessings that much more. I am praying for you!
Absolutely beautiful!!!!
ReplyDeleteDear beautiful Katie,
ReplyDeleteI think you have quoted Ps. 73 yourself, but I remind you of it again.
"Whom have I in heaven but Thee?
And besides Thee, I desire nothing on earth.
My flesh and my heart may fail,
But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever...
As for me, the nearness of God is my good;
I have made the Lord God my refuge,
That I may tell of all Thy works."
Ps. 73:25-28
Praying for your joy with much love,
Ms. B.
What a beautiful picture, Katie. That is such a beautiful song, too. Still thinking and praying for you.
ReplyDeleteAshley
That song is so painfully true. Without hope in Christ, what do we have? Praying for you as always specifically for strength to grieve!
ReplyDeleteI love you. I love you. I love you. I am praying!
ReplyDeleteYour awesome and I'll say it again, such an inspiration to others!
ReplyDeleteMuch Love
This is the first song I thought of when I read that Reese had passed.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post.
I pray that the Father holds you tight tonight. May His strength take over and allow you to be His little girl.
ReplyDeleteHi Katie! I am praying for you right this minute (It's after midnight) and am constantly remembering you. I am asking God to meet you in every painful breath. I love that song and its message. Keep trusting in Jesus.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful words and picture! God Bless You, Katie!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful picture and song! I think of you ALL the time!! Praying for you.
ReplyDeleteYou all are so precious. I hope that today throughout the day that the pressing against your chest type ache lightens a bit. I know it won't go away, but I pray that it lightens. You are the definition of strength.
ReplyDeleteMy husband chose that song to play at Janie's memorial service....
ReplyDeleteAnd it hit me right in the solar plexus when I read those words.
I haven't been able to listen to that song yet...I know, it's 5 years later, what gives? Janie's memorial was the first time I had ever heard it.
Katie, you will have complete joy again, but the part of your heart where Reese is will be very fragile at times. But don't shut the door completely and forget!
Hang in there....Keep your eyes on the hills!
I love that song, it was absolutely a perfect song for Reese's video. I have to admit every time I hear it now it reminds me of the adorable video. The song really does provide a lot of hope and faith.
ReplyDeleteWarmly,
Karen
