Back to the ER

In the past fourteen months, I have been to the ER THREE times! Crazy! The first time was for food poisoning, the second time was for a ruptured ovarian cyst, and just recently I went to have my appendix taken out. My sister is now joking with me about the ER staff knowing me by name!
Saturday night I went to bed with a stomachache and was sick all night. Sunday morning I told Jason we had to go to the ER (AGAIN!), so one of our sweet neighbors in high school came over to watch Zach until Shannon could get to our house. Bless her heart she didn't know she would be watching him until 10 that night!
When we finally arrived at the ER Sunday morning, I was certain another cyst had ruptured. The cramps on the lower right side felt just like they did before. All the ER rooms were full, and there were three people ahead of me waiting for beds, so we had to wait awhile. I just laid on the floor begging for an IV and pain meds. I didn't care how long I had to wait if I could only have those two things. I felt like I was going to die. Everything and everyone seemed to be moving in slow motion. I had been so fortunate in my earlier ER visits because I was able to be seen right away.
They did start the process of taking my blood and doing other tests so I would be ready for the IV after the doctor approved it. I think two nurses started feeling sorry for me because they both went to ask an ER doc if I could begin the IV and pain meds. Heaven!!
About 9 pm after the tests, a CT scan, and meeting with an ER doc and surgeon, the results revealed that my appendix was perforated (partially ruptured). Jason went home to relieve Shannon and be with Zach, I was prepped for surgery, and my Mom made plans to come back up early Monday (yesterday) morning.
I came home last night and am resting, letting my mom do everything, and watching Zach play on the floor. Thank you for all of your prayers, calls, and emails. I feel SO incredibly loved and blessed.
I'm also really trying hard to find out what GOD is trying to teach me, and I hope I learn soon!
