Happy 4th Birthday, Reese Catherine!
This is the second year we've released balloons at the beach for Reese's birthday with Jason's family. It's becoming a very special tradition. I just keep thinking what a beautiful little girl she must be. I wish I could see her sweet face right now.
Four years later and it's still so hard. Some days I wonder how my heart beats it's so broken. My tears still flow, yet God is still good and today we celebrate our little girl. We love you, Reese!
The LORD is righteous in all His ways, and gracious in all His acts.
Psalm 145:17

ReplyDeleteYes, yes it is very, very hard still, isn't it? And some days you wonder how you're going to take your next breath, because breathing hurts your heart so badly.
Yes, I know these feelings. We celebrated Janie's 9th birthday on Mother's Day this year, and it was a hard day for me. And Olivia's Heaven Day is coming too...October 19th....but at least we can look at Pennie and see Olivia too.
Hang in there, dear one!!
Stopped this morning to pray for you.
ReplyDeleteI love that idea. I've been reading your blog for years and following your story. Happy Birthday, sweet Reese!
ReplyDeleteYour Reese and my Kelsey share today, she's 4 years old today too. I've prayed for your heart so often already this morning.... :( my family didn't even remember today until I picked up flowers and said I had errands to run :( and it still took a while for them to figure it out.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI thought of you this morning already! I introduced myself to you in little rock at the race to remember... I pray today brings peace and blessings of love to all of you!

I remember her birthday well! Meredith e-mailed us to let us know she had been born. My heart broke for you. I'm so sorry you had to let her go. I cannot imagine! She is waiting for you in Heaven, and what joy it will be when there will be no more sorrow or struggles! Thank you, Lord for that promise!
ReplyDeleteToo beautiful for words!!!! XOXOXOX
ReplyDeleteShe is the most beautiful newborn I have ever seen so certainly she must be the most beautiful four year old ever as well. Thinking of you all...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful celebration of Reese's beautiful life! My heart just aches for you. You are a constant inspiration to me and so many others. I pray you were sustained in prayers and loving thoughts that were undoubtedly with you from all over. What a magnificent sight it must have been for Reese to watch those balloons float up to her in Heaven, released by her loving family. Thinking of you!
