The Farm

Today we went to Hot Springs just for fun to see Jason's parents and grandparents. All four of Jason's grands are amazing, and I love how the boys have four great grandparents. So rare!
There is always some project going on at the farm, and today they were working on three culverts.
What am I going to do with this big brown-eyed cutie?
Grampie and Grammy always like to be in on the action. We love looking at old pictures when we are at their house, and Jason is always telling Grammy she looked (and still looks) like a movie star. It's really sweet!
We went digging for crystals.
Gran also took the boys on a nature walk, and we ended up playing by the creek.
 Love this
I can't believe Zach is going to be FIVE in three weeks! Handsome boy.

We've had a good full day, and it's back to school tomorrow!

Please, Lord, let Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant and to that of Your servants who delight to revere Your name.

Funny Face

When I was little our church had a "Funny Face Festival" in the fall with lots of games and candy. I looked forward to it every year! Yesterday Colson had his school fall party and a hayride. He didn't last long in his race car costume, but he sure was cute.
Last night I took Zach to his school carnival. Jason wasn't feeling well so he stayed home with Colson, and I'm so glad he did. There were a lot of people there, and I would have been a nervous wreck about losing him. Z and I had fun on our little date.
I really didn't think it was possible for anyone to win a fish, but I was wrong. Zach was so proud last night when he won one. He named him Airplane.     ; ) I love my handsome boys!

Have a great weekend!

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.

Tulsa Trip

**Melissa, please email me. I have details for you about your game day necklace!

Since we've been going nonstop the past three weeks, why not squeeze in a little day trip? Ha! I am loving this phase of life, I just wish I had a few more hours in the day (don't you?)...maybe then I would feel organized? Probably not. ; )

Yesterday Candy and I took this crazy crew to the Oklahoma Aquarium in Tulsa. She needed to have some work done on her car so we tagged along. They LOVED it. When we are together I get a little taste of what it would be like to have four little boys. Ha! They are so precious.
There were so many things to see and do. I saw animals I never even knew existed. Isn't this red starfish pretty?
The boys fed the turtles carrot sticks. Who knew?
We also touched manta rays and little sharks. The manta rays really liked the attention!
As soon as we got home Zach asked when we could go to the "quarium" again. All the boys did great, and I'm so proud of them. I'm proud of us, too for being brave enough to take them! Ha.

LORD, be gracious to us! We wait for You.

Cousins

I'm so glad ya'll liked Reese's handprints in the picture with Cols. I always incorporate her somehow in our "official" family pictures, and I liked changing it up a bit with her handprints. ; )
Zach was so happy to be with his cousins this past weekend!
They played and played and played outside.
I love everything about this picture. ; )
Cutie pie David is one week older than Colson. It was fun watching them together.
I love seeing our kids make sweet memories with their cousins!

I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things.

Fun Little Trip

This weekend we took a little trip to see my brother and sister-in-law and their four kids. I loved spending more time with David (their little boy from Korea) and getting to know his personality a bit more. Such a cutie!

Meredith took family pictures for us, and the boys did great. There was a little bribery involved of course. Here's a little sneak peak. I don't want to share them yet since I'll use some for our Christmas card. ; )
Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

War Eagle

It's one of my most favorite times of the year. Craft fair time! My mom and one of her besties come up every year at this time. We have our little traditions and routine. So fun!
Trish joined us several years ago, and now she loves it just as much as we do. I bought several baby and Christmas gifts for family and friends, so I'm working down my list. ; )
Lindsey and her sweet mom Jill

We still wore our shirts to honor Reese today even though it wasn't October 15th. We always wear her shirts when we go to the convention centers so it just felt right.

Have a wonderful weekend!

I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you...

Mugs & Muffins

This morning I spoke at a women's church breakfast in NWA. Everyone was so sweet and made us feel very welcome. My mom, Trish, and Shannon came to cheer me on. I tried not to look at them while I was speaking, but they were sitting at the front table, so it was kind of hard. ; )
It was the first time speaking that I wasn't nervous!
The decorations were beautiful and the food delicious.
I loved sharing about Reese and meeting new friends.

Thanks, Sarah and Chrissy! Come up the Hill for lunch soon!

He sent His word and healed them...

Jamas

Colson loves his "jamas" and would wear them all day if I let him.
I'm a little more laid back with what he wears since I have to get him up and out the door with Zach three mornings a week. I used to think I would never let my child wear his pajamas out in public (or take his lovies anywhere...but that's another story!). I was so smart before I had kids. Ha!
He also loves his rain boots and wears them with everything. I'm choosing my battles, and he's winning this one. ; )

Is anything impossible for the LORD?

2012 Walk to Remember

This past weekend was our second SHARE Walk to Remember, and Colson's first time to participate. Doing things like this in honor of Reese helps keep my focus on positive things so it's very important to me to be involved.
I was telling Jason the other day that I feel like I lead two lives. One with a daughter and full of "should have beens" and "what will never be." Another filled with two vibrant boys who make me laugh and keep me running all day long. It's a daily battle to connect the two in my heart.
A few weeks ago I met a woman who has a daughter in Heaven, too. She recently moved back to NWA, and our daughters are buried in the same memorial gardens. We've met for coffee only once, and yet I already feel our hearts beat a similar pattern.
What keeps coming to my mind is that God is sovereign. He has my life in the palm of His hand. I love Him. I trust Him. He knows how weak I am. And all He requires of me is to keep following, keep trusting, keep believing in His promises.
The story of Reese's short life will never change, yet three years later I'm still learning something new from her 50 hours on this earth.

Shannon and Reagan came too. It meant the world to me having them there!
This sweet girl has won my heart. I love her grins!

I will appoint peace as your guard and righteousness as your ruler.

It's Already Over?

Zach's "end of the season" football party was this weekend at Razorback stadium. I think I was more excited than he was. We had so much fun!
Some of his sweet little teammates
 Little brother
We went out on the field, and I was surprised how it felt smaller actually standing on it than seeing it.
I kept thinking about the football players and how they felt when the stands are filled at a game with cheering fans.
 Future players? Ha!
 Love Colson's face
I told Jason we should have one of the boys' birthday parties there, and he just laughed at me. I guess I need to make some connections. ; )

After the party we flew to Hot Springs for Jason's grandpa's 87th birthday and got back in time today for SHARE's walk to remember and balloon release. It's been a very full weekend, and I'll share more about it soon!

...whatever is true...whatever is pure...think about such things.

Laughter

One of my besties Laura came for a little visit and spent the night with us last night. I loved seeing her! Time always goes by way too quickly. The boys were hyped up having someone new around, and she was able to snap a funny picture.
This pretty much sums up our lives right now. Complete with the school papers on the kitchen table and the chic-fil-a box!

...the mind-set of the Spirit is life and peace.

Bikes, Blues & BBQ

This past weekend we went to Bikes, Blues, and BBQ. It's a annual motorcycle rally, and it's always fun to take the boys to see all the bikes. I haven't had time this week to post these pics, but better late than never!
The Rowe boys
Sweet face
This picture makes my day.

Have a wonderful weekend! It's cold and rainy and we have a weekend full of football games and parties. ; )

Mimi & Chip Giveaway

UPDATE: If you do not have a fb page you can still enter this giveaway. Just leave your email address when you comment. Thanks!

It's October!
Today we have a fun giveaway by Mimi & Chip

Megan is giving away one fall t-shirt to one of my readers. I was so excited when she asked me about doing a giveaway. She also sells personalized towels, bib/burp cloth sets, onesies, and so much more. Her purses/bags are wonderful!
She made the boys these cute fall t-shirts. I love the orange.
I chose a "Z" in the spider web material for Zach, and a pumpkin for Colson. The contrast stitching around the initials is perfect!

Colson has started making the funniest "mad" face with his furrowed eyebrows. He's upset one second then laughs the next.
Megan also sent Z and Colson superhero shirts. They are so soft, and the boys wear them all the time. They are really into superheros.
Megan is so sweet and easy to work with. Thank you, Megan!
Can you believe his haircut? I love it although I think it makes him look a little older.
He's proud. ; )

It's easy to enter. Just "like" Mimi & Chip on facebook and leave a comment letting me know. Please leave your email address if it's the best way for me to contact you. Thanks!

I'll pick a winner Wednesday night! Good luck. ; )

But let him ask in faith, with no doubting...
