Teeny Tears

I love hearing what other women are doing in honor of their children who are in Heaven. I understand their passion and admire their desire to put positive energy into something special that not only helps them heal but blesses so many around them. It's truly amazing what can come out of tragedy.

After I received this picture from a sweet mom yesterday, I knew I had to share what she is doing in honor of her son Ryan.
"These are "Teeny Tears" bereavement diapers made and donated in memory of your sweet girl- I chose cupcake print for her birthday. Teeny Tears serve stillborn angels and infants who have passed away in the NICU at no charge to parents, fitting babies as tiny as 18 weeks gestation-32 weeks (and we just created a term size in NC to honor the "big" girls and boys too).  I made 2 in memory of Reese: one will go to an angel baby and one will go home with the baby's family as a keepsake."

I was so touched after I read what this organization is doing for babies and their families. Now Reese is a part of it, too. Beautiful!

Joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the sound of singing.

  6. This is so beautiful. I love reading about your angel and the way you honor her. I lost my son 19 years this coming November. I had him here on earth for only 47 hours. Then I was told not to talk or think about him. I never truly grieved him. Blogs like yours has helped me start that process all these years later. I was only 20 when I lost Zachariah. I had a beautiful 2 year old daughter at the time but was never able to have another baby. My heart grieved for years and years. Then almost 4 years ago I adopted my husbands then 3 year old and same month was chosen by a beautiful woman to mother her baby. He is now 3 and again adopted a amazing baby girl 20 months ago. With all these blessings I still miss my baby boy. Thank you for being so raw and true to Reeses memory. You truly bless woman like me:)

  8. Amazing! This post really touched me tonight. Earlier this week, my husband's cousin lost her baby at 37 weeks to a blood clot in the umbilical cord. It's been devastating and I've been trying to think of a way to honor sweet McKenzie. I'm an avid sewer, and now want to get involved with Teeny Tears not just to honor McKenzie, but other babies that have passed. Thanks for sharing!

  10. That is awesome! I love that idea so much. Such a simple, but meaningful gesture. I have been thinking of you as I prepare for Westynn's third birthday on the 19th. I remember coming home from the hospital and stumbling upon your blog and feeling my heart absolutely break as I read your story. Your faith and grace continue to amaze me! Thanks for continuing to keep it real!

  11. I love this!! I have pretty small diapers and clothing that Ryan wore from Holy Sews in LR. Love these. Sometimes I pull out those clothes and squeeze them and people who put work into this are touching lives.
