Little Rock Marathon

Happy Monday, ya'll!

Yesterday Jason and my dad ran the LR marathon. So proud of them! I originally registered for the 5K, but we didn't realize it was on Saturday so I switched to the 10K. I hadn't run 6 miles in a long time, but I really enjoyed it. Everyone ran the first 5 miles together, and I like running with a lot of people around me. ; )
After I finished the race my mom, the boys, and Jason's parents made a few stops along the course to cheer for my dad and Jason.
The boys loved being outside. It was a beautiful day!
Hottie. ; )
Dad (in the bright yellow) finishing strong. ; )
Let's talk about the marathon medal. It's HUGE! The zero in the middle even spins. Crazy. I think that's one reason so many people run it.
Fun family times

I love the beginning of a new week. My James Bible study ends tomorrow, and I just don't know what I will do. It's a wonderful study if you are looking. ; )

You are familiar with all my ways. You hem me in behind and before, and you lay Your hand upon me.

  2. I am ----| |---- this close to agreeing to a 10K. I've only ran 6 miles once but am running 5 miles consistently now. Still, I freeze up at a race. Not sure if I'll commit yet. Those medals are crazy big :)

  9. Congrats to you all - wow that is a huge metal. You can always turn it into a country western belt buckle hah

One day the boys will be crossing the finish line with their parents. Your setting them up for a healthy life style.

  11. O yeah, I switch from a 5K to a 10K all the time. lol!!! That is impressive that all of you run. So fun! My husband runs all the time, but I just can't get into it. I walk 4 miles per day and that is enough for me!

  13. You have the sweetest little boys thanks for always sharing so openly about your family!! If you dont mind I would love to share with you something about my daughter....
A local News Station KNWA came yesterday to do a segment on my daughter, Morgan Timbs. She has been raising money for the children of Methodist Family Health. So far she has raised $240.00. She still has a ways to go to meet her goal of $1000 so Please take a moment and read about her amazing efforts and donate!! With the money that is raised she will be helping so many kids from right here in Arkansas that are neglected or abused. What makes this a Unique fundraiser is that Morgan decided to give up her allowance for Lent and donate it to this charity then she decided to take it a step further and turned it into a personal mission to reach out to 1000 people and get them to donate!
My daughter is only 13yrs old and has a passion about mission work and helping others. She is a youth member at First United Methodist Church in Bentonville and attends Bentonville School District. I am in total AWE of her and she has inspired me in so many ways.
    Thank You for your time

  17. I saw Jason at the expo with Zach so I kinda looked to see if youwere close by. Didn't want him to think I was a stalker. I figured you were with Colson. That's great that you did the 10K! My whole family did the half, including me. I didn't know I was going to because I surgery on my foot and hadn't run in exactly 3 months since my full in Dallas. But, I thought, I need to do this one more time. It will be a long time before I can run again. I used my gymboss and set it to 4min run/1 min walk. I love that race, so I had a very nice time. No tunes either!
    Take Care, Katie Brown
