M&M Fix

Yesterday was not a good day for Zach and me. I think we are both so sensitive and when you mix that with disobedience it's just not pretty. I'm glad those days are becoming far and few between. ; o

Thankfully today was a new day, and praise the LORD His grace abounds! Where would I be without it?

Jason was playing in a golf tournament out of town, so I decided Z and I would make cookies. He said he wanted to make M&M cookies, so this is just what we did.
Can you believe this cutie gives me any trouble? Ha.
He wanted to do everything himself.

The best part
I loved doing this with Z. Everything was such a big deal to him, and it was fun to watch. I'm glad he has school tomorrow too so he can take some to his teachers. ; )

Don't forget about the Picky Sticky Giveaway! I'll announce the winner tomorrow night.

...His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.

  1. While I don't know Z in "real" life he seems so much like my oldest. Baylor is full of life and gives me fits at times. I must say it has gotten easier as he gets older. He is very determined though and doesn't take "no" very well. Being a mom to boys has definitely stretched me in ways I didn't know possible, but I am so thankful! I love my little guys:).

  4. Oh, I know what you mean! I think it is his age. My daughter came home with an new attitude (I had never seen) from Mother's Day Out this week!! I didn't like how it made feel. I like her sweet, kind, and thinking I am the coolest thing ever!!!

  7. girl, it must have been something in the air, because i posted about the EXACT same thing - even used the same verse! :) I just wish I would have thought about adding in some m&m cookies to our day ;-)

  8. Stick with it, Katie - every single minute you spend in patient, diligent training pays off in the long run!!! (and vice versa - when it's neglected you have a miserable household!)

Some day people will come up to you and say "You're so lucky to have good kids!"

I never know if I should point out there's no luck involved or just smile and keep my mouth shut. :)

  9. G and I have days like that too. He can be the sweetest little guy and in a flash it can turn south, big time. We too, are working on immediate obedience. It's a 24/7 struggle. We'll get there, and they'll be wonderful young men one day.

  11. Where do you find bags of those m&m minis? I used to be able to find them, but have not seen them at target, walmart, etc. for over a year. I love those cookies and I'm desperate to find bags of those m&m's!
