4th & Fireworks

Happy 4th of July from the Rowe boys!
There is a retirement home near our house, so I thought it would be fun for the boys (Zach) to pass out flags to everyone. A few days ago Stacy met us with her girls Payton and Parker. They were so cute. Z even kissed a woman on her cheek because she asked him to!
Z loved it, and the men and women lit up when they saw the kids. I hope it can become a tradition.

Last night we went to our church's annual firework's display. I kept thinking how last year I was nine months pregnant with Colson just days away from him being born. ; ) He stayed home with a sitter since we were going to be out so late.
Our favorite family the Duggars were there! Z and I stopped to say hi to Jinger and Jessa. Of course I thought of a few questions I wish I had asked them after we walked away. ; ) They are so sweet.

Zach said he loved it, but this is how he looked most of the time. ; )
We had a wonderful night, and I'm already looking forward to next year.

A friend told me about Wings for Our Troops, and today is the perfect day to share it. This foundation assists our military

men and women to come home before and after deployments.

A mom and dad who lost their son in Afghanistan turned their

grief into something to honor their son's legacy. It blesses me to see the good they are bringing from their son's life.

I'm so thankful for the men and women who fight for America's freedom. We celebrate and honor you today.

If therefore the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.

  1. Brody's face was about the same as Zach's face last night! He cried hysterically and my dad had to take him walking. :)

  4. I love the idea of passing out flags at the nursing home!! My oldest grand-daughers will sometimes read to the residents and they often go after a ballet recital but never thought about passing out flags! I love that idea! Happy 4th!

  9. Wow-what a great idea to pass out flags at the retirement home! You know you made their day!!
So jealous that you got to see actual fireworks. Here is good ol' New BRaunfels, Texas, none were allowed. It is way too dry! We had to settle for the pull-n-pop kind. Oh well, the boys loved them!
