Z loves his little brother! Colson is a trooper. ; ) He laughs at anything Zach does, and all Z needs is an audience so it's perfect.
I think I'm going to really get into matching or coordinating the boys' clothes as they grow up. Fun!
Colson just goes along with what Z wants to do.
Last night about 30 minutes after I took these pictures, Z said, "Hey, we have on the same shirt!" He was so excited. It was cute because he didn't realize it until then (even after I had told him...we are working on our listening skills). ; )
I'm very sore from the cardio tennis class I tried yesterday morning. I loved it! The women in it were nice and welcoming, so I was not too embarrassed when I missed the ball (completely!) a few times. Ha! It's good to laugh at yourself sometimes, right?
I'm so nervous about Colson's dedication this Sunday. I have no idea why, but whenever I think about it my stomach flips. It will be a special day, and a lot of emotions go along with it too.
Those cheeks! Jason and I laugh at how we called Zach a "force" when he was a baby. He was so compact and heavy. I thought of the name "tank" for Colson because he is so much heavier than Zach was. He is still not crawling, so I know this will change when he starts moving. He may just skip right to walking. ; )
So I have this question...Zach's hair is silky and falls straight down to the front. The longer it grows of course it goes right into his eyes. I brush it over to the side in the morning and use hairspray, but it only lasts two seconds. Does anyone have tips for keeping his hair over to the side better or for longer? Thanks!

my two boys (almost 2 years old and 2 weeks) have those same matching shirts on today! (love carters :) adorable!
ReplyDeleteso cute!!! I have a minor obsession with dressing my boys in coordinating and matching clothes. I figure I'm only in charge of their wardrobes for a short time, so I'm taking advantage! Your boys are just way too cute, Katie!
ReplyDeleteWill be praying for you guys on Sunday!
Such handsome boys!
ReplyDeleteLoving these pictures! Oh my goodness, could those boys get any cuter?? You know, they would go well with my dark haired, dark eyed beauties?? OK, I won't get there yet!
ReplyDeleteYour boys are so handsome! My 3 year old has the same hair and I don't know what to do with it either!
ReplyDeleteHandsome boys! Try gel and hairspray--it's all that works on my little guys' hair!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness Katie! You are going to have a hard time keeping the ladies away when those two get older!!
ReplyDeleteI repeat what you said - "Those cheeks!"
ReplyDeleteThey both are beautiful!!!
Your pictures are adorable. Those boys are SOOO handsome!
ReplyDeleteYour boys are soooo HANDSOME!! They look adorable in their matching outfit!!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love matching my boys. It just makes me happy. It has become more of a challenge now that Colton is 8 but Gymboree is great about having all three of their sizes matching or at least coordinating.
Precious close ups of the force and tank!! Such super cuties!!
Thinking of you on Sunday. We had Carter dedicated last Mother's day and it just made the day that much more special!! Happy baby dedication to Colson and Happy Mother's day!!!! You are an amazing mother of three!!
Love those jammies, we have them as well! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I love Colson's expression in the 2nd pic. ha!
ReplyDeleteI SERIOUSLY can't get over how much they look alike! Handsome boys.
ReplyDeleteThey are just TOO cute! Love the matching outfits! :)
ReplyDeletesuper cute pictures! I love the emotion you capture in each one.
ReplyDeleteDo they make hairbows for boys? =) Ha. My little ones hair falls in her face like that, but I suppose it is more socially acceptable for her to wear a bow. Your boys are sweet! I love coordinating outfits.
ReplyDeleteCollin's hair is just like that! We ended up having the stylist thin it out so that it wasn't so heavy in the front and it definitely helps!! :)
ReplyDeleteThose are two handsome little gentlemen! Love their brown eyes. I will be thinking about and praying for you on Sunday. It will be bittersweet. The same Lord you are giving Colson to, gave you His son, and knows......
ReplyDeleteI use hair gel on my little boy's hair to keep it over to the side. It has more hold then hairspray and seems to last longer :)
ReplyDeleteMy little boy has the same pjs. I love them! They are my favorite for some reason. We have them right now in 18 month size and his Mimi gave him some more in 24 month size. Yea! It's so sad when they grow out of the cutest pair of pjs. Your boys look really cute in them too!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness... they are too cute! How sweet that Z was excited about the same shirts! lol Adorable photos! :)
ReplyDeleteoh, I LOVE those shirts! SO sweet. I love matching the boys in outfits now :)
ReplyDeleteI'll be praying for you on Sunday.
When my little boys Zach's age (he's 8 now), we went to more off a "big boy" hair cut. Shorter, much more layered, and thinned out a lot. Now with just a little spray gel it stays in place. Warning though...it will make him look much older!!
ReplyDeleteTimothy has those jammies too! :) The three of them could have a slumber party!
ReplyDeleteI will be thinking and praying for yall Sunday! I'm sure Colson will do great and do something cute and make lots of memories for yall!
Watch out with the tennis cardio.. I am so jealous! Oh, by the way, I made my six miles last weekend! yaya! :)
The cutest boys ever. My friend had me get glue by Paul Mitchell. It even comes in a bottle like Elmer's glue. Hair will not move!! Blessings on Sunday. My dad passed away 6 months ago, it has been so hard. Holidays and special events are so difficult. Just keep praying!!
ReplyDeleteI use "Freeze It" hairspray on my daughters hair, lol. I spray it when she goes to MDO and it stays for quite awhile. I feel bad for admitting it, but it has trained her hair to part & stay in a certain direction, which is what I wanted. I tried 20 products before this one. It is available at your local Walmart in a gold can:)
ReplyDeleteWhen I am going to cry out at a baby dedication, Mother's Day Brunch, graduation or in front of a lot of people, etc. I pray, "God, please don't let me cry, please don't let me cry!" And it works!!! There is NOTHING wrong with crying, but if I am crying and people come up and start hugging me, it makes me cry worse!!! So, I don't like to cry at all.
Those boys are getting cutter by the minute. You will have a hard time to keep the girls away from them ; )
ReplyDeleteAbout Zach's hair..... My niece and I have the same kind of hair he does. Even strongest hair spray in the market don't hold my hair for more than 5 minutes or so : ( And my hair grows like weed, I need a hair cut every 20 days or so : )
your twinks are too presh and i agree how adorable are the matching outfits yay! lovin' Colson's chubby cheeks, Kelcee had them and we called her chunky monkey I am lovin' the name tank for him how fun and hey I have a feeling he is gonna be a linebacker...and make millions :)

ReplyDeletekatie your boys are so precious- you are so very blessed:) happy mother's day to you Sunday- isn't it so strange to be so thankful, yet so.....i don't want to use the word (empty) but almost...at the same time? praying for you specifically this weekend and a heart FULL of peace!
ReplyDeleteThose pictures completely melt me. And those cheeks. Oh, how I love the cheeks (from one Chub to another!). Happy Mother's Day sweet girl!
ReplyDeleteOh your boys are so cute. It takes me back to when my oldest two boys were that little. Oh how I love little boys!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I LOVE these pictures!
ReplyDeleteIt's as though their personalities just jump off the page when you describe them, along with the photos! Great job! These are two handsome boys! Oh, SO cute! And those cheeks on Colson! I would wear myself out kissing them so much. haha...just irresistable. :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe try a bobby pin for Colson's hair. KIDDING! LOL...
Hi Katie. They are getting so big...and handsome..OMGOODNESS! I have not done the boy crazy hair thing in 12 years. It has been hairbows for me for a while now, but I remember spray gel worked for us. Hope that helps! Happy Mother's Day (early). :)
ReplyDeleteok when am I going to see COLSON?????
ReplyDeleteThose jammers are too cute and the boys that are in them are sooo handsome!
ReplyDeleteI have the same problem with Grady's hair. We use gel, but it doesn't last long. I never knew boy hair would be so hard!
Everytime I get his hair cut the stylist wants to know how I want it cut..."uh...i dunno...just cut it?" lol!
I dressed my boys alike for years. When they were 5 and 8 the oldest came downstairs in something completely different from what I had set out. I asked why and he said "I'm not Brian's twin and I'm not dressing like him." And that was the end of that.
