Thankful

I have been in Texas the past few days. ; ) My friend Meredith is a children's minister in Dallas, and she is also in charge of her church's Mom's Touch group. She asked me to share about Reese several months ago, and of course I said yes. Jason encouraged me to go, and my rock star in-laws made it a lot easier for me. They came up to play with the boys. ; ) Thank you thank you!

It worked out perfectly for me to meet Hunter and stay with my sis for a few days. Several other friends live there, so I was able to get a lot in!

Ash & me
There are no words to describe how much this girl means to me. We roomed together at Baylor, and she is a jewel. She is 17 weeks with her third baby.
Sweet Meredith
Her friendship is priceless, and I'm very thankful she gave me a chance to talk about Reese.
Meredith, me, my mom, Mandy, & Meredith
They were my support group. ; )
Bek (another BU roomy) & Ash came also. Rebekah has the gift of laughter, and I love being around her. I thought they would make me even more nervous, but I felt relaxed and comfortable seeing their faces as I spoke.

Last week as I was preparing what to say and especially as Monday came closer, I thought, "What in the world do I have to say of value to these women? Why would anyone want to listen to me?" Then I remind myself that I'm sharing about Reese and the LORD, and it gets me out of the picture and helps my mind set.
I like to use my hands when I talk. ; )
Now it's time to play! Mary, me, Abby, Meredith, & Garrett
Abby, Mandy, & me
Hunt-dog and I had some bonding time while Abs was at dance class. ; ) He's thinking, "What in the world?" I already miss this little guy.

My few days away were SUCH a treat! I loved spending time with part of my family and several of my besties. Although I missed my boys like crazy, it was special for me to shine a light on our daughter.

He will destroy death forever. The LORD GOD will wipe away the tears from every face and remove His people's disgrace...

  6. Katie, I can tell you what you have to say to other women, "I am a christian, God loves me, He carries His children through trials and sometimes it hurts so much I can't breath but God is there" Other women need to know that the christian life isn't a bed of roses, it is hard to "work out our salvation with fear and trembling" Praise God He is giving you opportunities to speak about Him. I know you brought Him glory

  9. I love that verse you have a the end of the post. Doesn't it feel so triumphant to know that our God has already won the battle?

Brayden and I were singing a song in the car the other night about how death was destroyed and I couldn't help but think about Reese and all of the other babies that I know of who are being held by Jesus and it just made me have so much hope to know that this is not the end.

    Praying for you daily...
