Christmas Cheer

I love seeing all three of our babies' stockings hanging by the fireplace this year.
So cute and whimsical. ; )
A few fun things in our week...
I met up with two amazing friends, Jenny and Hillary. Benjamin and Z had a fun time playing. Much too busy for a good pic!
Hil
Jason and I went to his office dinner. What a fun party! One of my favorites. The people he works with are wonderful. They love to laugh, and I look forward to spending time with them every year.

The joy of Christmas is all around us, but it is always near my heart how broken many of you are this year for different reasons. Last year I just wanted to leave the country! If it wasn't for Zach, we would have. ; )

It's easier to face the holidays now because of Colson, but they will always be bittersweet. May Christ be gentle with you and give the peace you need each day. His grace is sufficient.

The Lord is not slow to fulfill His promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

  10. Those stockings are SO cute! I just finished reading "Heaven Is For Real" by Todd Burpo and it's about a pastor's son, Colton, and his visit to Heaven when he undergoes an emergency surgery. Thought you might enjoy!

  12. Beautiful stockings! They remind me of Dr. Suess. I'm a new follower so I am not sure what you're referring to, but I do pray that your Christmas is wonderful and full of the love and peace that only the Lord can provide. Happy Christmas to you and yours!

My Mom passed away very close to Christmas. While your grief is different, I feel your heart.

  17. As always, Katie, you look stunning in every picture! I wish you lived closer b/c I'd make you go shopping with me and help me pick out clothes!
And although Reese is not in your arms this Christmas, I know she is always on your heart. And sweet Katie, how blessed she is that you are and always will be her mother.
I feel so blessed to "know" you through blogging...and pray that God will continue to use you to bless other mommies through your honesty and love for Christ! You have been such a blessing to me during a difficult year. You will never know what a blessing you are to others.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
    Sarah
