October

I can't believe it's already October!

To answer some nursery questions from this post...

The dresser was my grandmother's. It became mine as a little girl, then we used it for Zach and now Colson.

Jason bought the red trunk at a yard sale. One of my favorite things!

The crib is Bratt Decor. Another favorite. ; )

The chair is from the Best Chair Storytime Series.

We ordered the frame here. Love love it!

A local builder made the bookcase. He also sells things here.

Colson was my date last night for our small group's fall fellowship. He was perfect as always. ; )
Aren't these the cutest things? Peanut butter between ritz crackers dipped in chocolate. I could have eaten the whole plate!
Colson & Westin
Cute cousins already getting into trouble. ; )

They are four months apart, but Colson is almost as long as W!
Getting ready for church...this picture makes me laugh so hard! He's huge!
All smiles

It's amazing how a song can bring back such strong feelings. After Reese went to Heaven music was a huge part of my healing. We were given several cds, and I would listen to a certain song over and over as it ministered to my heart.

Waiting Room by Jonny Diaz is one of those songs that became so meaningful to me. I was listening to it this morning and thinking about how the LORD in all His wisdom said "No" with Reese even though of course we knew "best" for her life.

It hit me that Colson is my "Yes." My "yes" to so many things.

Thank you, Lord, that we can always trust Your answers. And thank You that Colson slept eight hours last night ; )

However, as it is written:
"No eye has seen,
no ear has heard,
no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love him"

I Corinthians 2:9

  3. 'No' is so very hard, but ah, I love those 'yeses!' Katie, you are amazing. So many grieving parents turn their back on what they need most - their faith, and church families.

  15. Katie,
I love getting to read your blog! After finding your story through Kelly's Korner, I would often think "I can't wait to see how her story unfolds". It is so evident that God was using your family to touch the lives of others. Each post moves me to either tears or to a smile. My heart is full of joy to see how God has carried you through. Be Blessed this week with sweet moments with all of the boys in your life!
