This morning I asked Zach where he wanted to have his birthday party. He said, "Taco Bell?" Ha! He loves their chicken tacos, but all he eats is the chicken. No lettuce, cheese, or tortilla. Cute thing. Picky just like his daddy.
We took Z swimming this morning.
He reminds me several times a day that he is a big boy and Colson is a little baby. ; )
Colson and I had fun watching them play in the pool.
I love how he just hangs out.
He is such a happy easy baby. Thank you, Lord. Such a blessing.
Spending time with my boys is one of the best things ever. ; ) At the same time my heart aches for my little girl. Today has been especially difficult. No particular reason other than I miss Reese so much. Thankfully days like this are more spread out than they used to be. It's just hard.
As happy as I am I also feel so tender. Any extra stress and hurt is magnified. I am constantly reminded to place my heart in the shadow of the shelter of His wings. There I am safe. Secure. Covered.
The name of the LORD is a strong tower;
the righteous run to it and are safe.
the righteous run to it and are safe.
Proverbs 18:10
I laughed so hard about Z wanting his party at Taco Bell! So funny. Praying for you.
ReplyDeleteLOL Katie about Taco Bell - too cute! Z and C are both so adorable and you have such a beautiful family. I am continuing to pray for all of you and sending you a lot of love and hugs (Razorback style) during your sad times too. xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteYou expressed your feelings so perfectly - any extra stress is magnified. That's such a good way to explain it. Thinking of you!
ReplyDeleteTaco Bell makes a great choice! Ha! Gotta love it! Beautiful family.

ReplyDeleteThose type of days are hard. We celebrated Emerson's 1st birthday this past weekend and as happy as I was to experience it with her, I ached for what I have missed with Gavin. Hugs for you today Katie.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Amanda
Forever missing Gavin 4/7-5/3/08
Taco Bell! That is adorable! Colson is getting big so fast -- precious!! Love all your pics, but esp. the last one with you holding Colson!
ReplyDeleteYou're in my prayers! What a beautiful family!! =)
Love the pictures! I think of you often!! Praying always.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry Katie. I'm sure you unfortunately will always have these days. My dad lost his 5 year old son about 40 years ago and he has told me not a day goes by that he doesn't think of him. He now has a grandson Ian Wesley who is named after him and they are so close.
ReplyDeleteYour boys are so precious. Loving how sweet baby Colson is. Continuing to lift you up in prayers!!
A Taco Bell party is hilarious!!! It was so good to see you today! You look amazing and I am so proud of you getting out and going with both boys! Just want you to know that I still pray for you all time. I know your heart still aches missing Reese.
