I am so excited!
Lisa posted a few pictures of Colson's newborn session on her blog. He was eight days old. I love them! How are we going to choose?
A few other thoughts...
Zach has nicknamed Colson "Coles-Coles." He did this on his own. Cute! Z gets a little better with Colson each day. I had no idea how hard a new baby would be on him. He'll get there, right?!
Is there such a thing as post-pregnancy cravings? I'm craving rice krispie treats and gummy bears constantly!
I love reading all the different ways you include Reese in your sweet words like we are a "family of five" or I'm a "mom of three children." Thank you! Warms my heart.
Be still, for this is a sacred day.
Nehemiah 8:11
LOVE them!!! I can't wait to see them! I want some!!!!

ReplyDeleteOh my word, that last pic of the boys under Reese's portrait is just precious!!!!! What a beautiful way to capture your 3 little babies.
ReplyDeleteYes, Z will get better! The very first night we were home with the baby Jackson threw the biggest fit I have ever seen and slammed his door (NOT normal or accepted behavior). The next day he was like "Hey baby brother!" They are best friends now and I love it!
ReplyDeleteAnd I also think you have post-preg cravings. At least that is the excuse I used!
yes :D he'll get there! hang on:D mine are now as thick as thieves but they all had to find their own place with each other first! the love between brothers is a very tight bond! you are a beautiful momma!

ReplyDeleteI am not sure there is a technical term for the post pregnancy cravings, but I had them all the time too when Brayden was born! SO weird!

ReplyDeleteKatie, those pictures are breathtaking and so touching. I love the one of you and Colson together and the one of the boys on the couch outside. The ones where Reese was incorporated are perfect and something to treasure forever. I know that touches your heart. Absolutely beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThose are such great pictures! I love the one where Z and Colson are in the red chair with Reese's picture above them. It's like she's watching over them from above - which I know she is :)
ReplyDeleteWow! The pics of your boys with their precious sister are amazing! I teared up so I can only imagine how you reacted! They are so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI could barely see the pictures through the sheen of tears in my eyes.....
ReplyDeleteAnd on the last couple of pics, those tears spilled over in waves.
katie, those pictures are truly eloquent and marvelous and so beautiful. Colson carries around, in his soul, a big piece of Reese. The necklace picture was so poignant.
Praise God for talented photographers to catch life's beauty and poetry! These memories are priceless.
PS: If you're nursing, your body is asking you for more calories, thus the craving for the sweets. You need 500 more calories a day when you're nursing. Just an FYI!
Those are the most amazing pictures! I almost cried looking at them. I so wish I lived near your so I could kiss those precious boys! :)
ReplyDelete♥
are you breastfeeding? i am currently breastfeeding my 3 month old and have had tons of cravings..more than when i was pregnant!!
ReplyDeleteWow! Those pictures are beautiful! The ones with all 3 of your precious children gave me goosebumps. And as a side note, you are the most beautiful new Mommy!
ReplyDeleteThe photo of Z holding Colson with Reese "looking" down on them took my breath away. What beautiful memories your photograph captured! You are so blessed, Katie!
ReplyDeleteI know the photos warm your heart. Seeing your 3 babies "together" is beautiful. May God continue to bless you over and over again with his faithfulness.
ReplyDeleteI believe there is absolutely a thing as post pregnancy cravings. I think it has to do with the nursing, or just the shredding of the hormones. I crave things like crazy post partum!
ReplyDeletePics are GREAT! Love them!
He will get there!! We just welcomed #4 into our house, and I remember the first 2 siblings after my oldest(also a son) was born, took about 2-3 months of adjustment time! My son had a hard time figuring out he wasn't the only one anymore! I had to start being creative when I nursed so I would sit him at the table and give him a snack(buckled into his seat), give him a book and stickers or crayons and let him go to town! It worked, but took me a while to figure out what to do. After a couple months we were on a great schedule, he wasn't as needy and was really loving his sister!
ReplyDeleteI know that I don't even know you and your family (I feel I do just by reading your blog). These pictures are BEATUIFUL!!!
ReplyDeleteSeriously! How will you choose??? Your babies are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteKatie, what beautiful pictures of your beautiful children! I agree you have to buy them all!
ReplyDeleteZach will love Colson because you will train him to :) and because you and Jason love your siblings and set that example for him. And we will pray that our Lord will bind their hearts together in the strongest way.
love you,
Ms. B.
Wow-what beautiful pictures! I loved how you incorporated sweet Reese into those last pictures. Congrats on your handsome little baby boy-Colson!! I love following your blog and hearing how you allow Christ to shine through it all--the pain, sorrow, joy and love!
ReplyDeleteHi Katie! I've been away on vacation for the last 10 days but wanted to say CONGRATS to you and the family on your new bundle of joy. I hope that things everyone is getting settled in and that all is well. I had to LOL about the rice krispies and gummy worm cravings though - too cute! The pictures are adorable and yes, no worries - Z man will get there eventually with the new little one. I'm sure he will be an awesome big brother! Love the new nickname he has already given him. Big hugs my friend! Can't wait to see more pictures of your family. xoxoxo
