I could have danced out of those hospital doors yesterday. ; ) We are home and made it through our first night! I've never been so happy to lose sleep in all my life.
There are so many little details I would love to share about Colson's birth. I hope to write them all down as I remember over the next few days and weeks.
Our family looks a lot different than it did eleven months ago. We will always have what other people may not see - our little girl in Heaven. Reese is always with us and close to our hearts. She is our precious baby girl, and Colson is a sweet reminder of her presence in our home.
I am captured by your words. Although I may not be able to respond to each comment, I'm so thankful for your support and love.
For with God nothing shall be impossible.
Luke 1:37

She has and always will be my angel baby. I know those feelings so very well. I rejoice and praise God for blessing you, Jason and Zach with Colson. Jeremiah 29:11 says it all. May God continue His blessings.

ReplyDeleteI have followed your blog since your pregnancy with Reese and read with you as your heart ached over her loss. I love the Lord with all my heart and have been a Christian since I was a little girl. I was amazed by your testimony and strengh through your loss. Praise God for blessing you with this precious boy to love. I am so glad you are all home and well. Thank you for being a testimony to me! I am amazed by your story and how God worked in you!!

ReplyDeleteI am so happy for you as you welcome your sweet, healthy baby boy home. What an answered prayer! He is beautiful, just like his brother and sister.
ReplyDeleteI am so VERY happy for you. VERY. As you walk through these days, enjoying this precious little one, may God cover your heart in a sweet way.
ReplyDeleteWhat a joyful home coming for you all. I'll bet Zach is happy as can be with his new baby brother. Colson truly is a precious blessing, and just as cute as can be. We don't even know each other, but after reading and following your blog, and feeling your pain with you, (I lost a granddaughter at 4 mos. old in 2007), I feel I do know you. Colson even shares his birthday, with my first born daughter. I hope and pray for you, that he gives you as much joy, pleasure, and happiness, as my daughter has given me, and her Dad. My heart tells me he surely will! Colson came with something very special....the sweetness of his angel sister, Reese! God Bless you all. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteMany Hugs!

You are not only beautiful when pregnant, but also post-partum. I have prayed so many prayers for your sweet family that I don't even know...many times when I've rocked my 9mos. old baby girl, I've thought of you and how your arms must ache for your baby girl. I hope they're aching a little less now. Praising God for your tiny blessing!
ReplyDeleteLuke 1:45
Congratulations! Relax (as much as you can with a newborn!) and enjoy!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! Your little family just keeps growing! He is precious... Enjoy this special time! Your last post "Because" is absolutely beautiful! Thank you for sharing this joy with all of us!
ReplyDeleteSo happy for you! I know you are loving every second of holding Colson!
ReplyDeleteI am just so thankful that you are home!!!
ReplyDeleteI have been following your story ever since Kelly asked us to pray for you when Reese passed away. I also have a baby girl in Heaven so I know the journey you have walked. I have followed this pregnancy and prayed many times for your sweet baby boy. I am so happy for you and your family. I have to add that Colson looks exactly like his daddy. Enjoy every moment and congratulations!
ReplyDeleteSo thrilled for you and love watching all of your joy shine through!! GLORY TO GOD for all of your JOY!!!
ReplyDeleteWelcome home Colson! I am so happy for you and your family. I started reading through Shannon when you went into the hospital suddenly while pregnant with Reese. I think of her often.
ReplyDeleteCongrats again on Colson's arrival!
Love from Philadelphia!
Katie, Oh Katie!!
ReplyDeleteColson is your Life Baby. He is your Celebration baby.
Sofia is our Life Baby.
I bet the air in that surgery room was charged with joy and gladness!
He is so gorgeous.
You have gone through this last year with the grace that only God can give, and He is now so much more precious to you, I know. I know it has not been an easy year. But isn't Colson the fulfillment of a long, hard time?
And your love for Colson and Zach will be some much deeper too.
I'm praying for you as you get to know your new gift. Take care. No worries.
Beautiful! rejoicing with you! Thank you for sharing such sweet moments!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture and so happy to see you are all at home!
ReplyDeleteI think what I love most about Reese is that she will ALWAYS be a sweet, innocent, precious-in-every way little girl. I'm sure her Heavenly body is even more precious than her Earthly self, and that will never change. Colson is beautiful and I am so jealous! :) Your pain and your joy brings tears to all of us and no one deserves the joy you feel today more than you and Jason. Congratulations Rowes!

ReplyDeleteKatie, congratulations on Colson's arrival. Your words moved me to tears... Your family definitely appears different than how it really is: your precious angel girl will always watch over each of you from above!
ReplyDeleteSweet Katie,
ReplyDeleteI am so happy for you and Jason.
To God be the glory.
Ms.B.
Welcome home!! So happy for you and your family!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Although we do not know each other - you appear to be the kind of woman who deserves nothing but happiness and I am so happy that you have been given another dose of sheer JOY!
ReplyDeleteThose first nights of sleeplessness are such bliss aren't they?
Congrats again on your new miracle Colson!
Katie, I've followed your blog for almost a year now, and although I've never commented, you and your family have been in my prayers daily. Tears are rolling down my cheeks as I read about your sweet Colson's arrival. Every time I read your blog, I'm blown away by your strength and your faith. I am so happy for you and yours and hug my baby a little tighter every day because of your story. God is truly so good.
