This past weekend was my last time to travel before Colson arrives, so we made the best of it! We met one of my besties (and Baylor roommate) at Jason's grands' lakehouse. It was the perfect weekend. The guys rode four wheelers with the kids, we swam, ate, played games, talked and talked.
Jason, Zach, Ben (Ashley's husband) & Anna (one of their girls)
Z, Anna & Rachel
Our kids are different as night and day. Z is loud, constant activity and GO GO GO. Anna and Rachel are quiet, observant and content. They're a great sweet mix all together!
Ash and me with our kids
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ashley. We talked a lot about Reese which I really needed. She is a friend who has grieved deeply with me this year. What a gift to my heart!
This was my third weekend in a row of traveling, so now I'm looking forward to catching up and getting ready for Colson. Not much longer. ; )
You observe my travels and my rest; You are aware of all my ways.
Psalm 139:3
What a fun way to celebrate your last traveling weekend! =)
ReplyDeleteLooks like you guys had so much fun!
ReplyDeleteHow fun!!! 4 wheelers are so fun but we're trying to sell ours now for the big move to Dallas! I love the photos and can't wait for Colson to arrive.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great time away with family! I love 4 wheeling, I bet the kids did too! So glad that the Lord has given you that person (s) that you can talk about Reese to. Sweet pictures and sweet kiddos!
ReplyDeleteI've always wondered what it was like to have a child that was quiet and observant... LOL. I need to get some tips from you on public tantrums from loud children... I literally don't know what to do!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun time with fam and friends :)
ReplyDeleteFriends are so important and I am so happy you have such a close one you can talk about Reese with that is awesome!!
Not much longer before baby Colson's arrival

Summer
Katie I love to read your posts. You seem like you would be such a fun friend. I enjoy reading about Zach as I have a 3 year old boy who is ALL boy! I hope you have a relaxed couple of weeks before Colson arrives.
ReplyDeletehow fun :)
ReplyDeleteI love that her girls' names are Anna and Rachel. We have a Rachel (my oldest) and then a Lauren but when I was pregnant with Lauren, Anna was the other name we had picked out. I had the hardest time picking between Lauren Elizabeth and Anna Grace but we went with Lauren. I love the name Anna just as much!! I am eagerly anticipating Colson's arrival! I pray for you so much!
ReplyDeleteNothing like a weekend with your family AND your bestie!
ReplyDeleteSo excited for you, Katie! Keeping you close in my prayers...always.
Friends are sooooo important! Glad you have so many of them. I know they have been your lifeline for the past year. Can't believe it's almost time for Colson to arrive. So exciting!
ReplyDeleteSo fun!!!!! Glad you got to get some last minute fun time and travel in but sure can’t wait to see that sweet boy!!!! :)

ReplyDeleteWhat a great weekend, I bet the kids loved the four wheelers!! What a fun last weekend away before Colson arrives!!
ReplyDeleteSo much fun! Your daughter was beautiful. I can't imagine the emotions of knowing that you are grieving her but have a new little blessing that will be here soon!
