Beautiful

Jason and his dad have been busy this week. Cam loves any project, and we keep a running list for him for when he comes to visit. ; )

Jason surprised me by planting five beautiful crepe myrtles in Reese's honor. They are simply breathtaking and look like they were always meant to be lining our driveway. We can never move, and if we do these tree are going with us!

"...to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified."

Isaiah 61:3

  4. Gorgeous. I love the symbolism of planting trees in honor of Reese's life. Although her life was very short, these trees will live on and bloom, and you'll be able to think of her whenever you see them.

Still praying for your sweet family.

  13. What a lovely way to honor your sweet Reese. We have a white lily to celebrate our baby in heaven and I just love when it blooms and fills our garden with its fragrance. I know these trees will do the same for you. Praying for you every day...

  23. Love the trees! Beautiful! My friend had a miscarriage over a year ago and when they moved to their new house they planted a tree in the baby's honor. They call her their "glory baby." Hope all is well with your family and know that you are thought about and loved!

  30. Hi,
I read about your loss thru Kelly's Korner. I am so sorry. Reese was a beautiful little girl, and I love her name. Your husband was so sweet to plant the trees. Priceless. I will be thinking of you and your family and will continue to keep you in my prayers.

I have met you through MOPS a couple of times and just now came across your blog. You, your husband, and your son are in my prayers. What a beautiful baby Reese is. Your strength is inspiring and makes my heart melt.

  35. I heard of your horrible loss through Kelly's Korner and have been so sad that you had to suffer so. The one thing that I know from walking with God is that we will just never figure Him out. Why He allows different things to happen is just beyond my comprehension but you have been a very strong testimony pointing to the fact that His ways are always right.
Your crepe myrtles are lovely. I have one on the side of my house that I can see from my upstairs bedroom window and it never ceases to bring me pleasure. It's such a true explosion of color when they bloom. I'm in Kansas and mine almost always blooms in early August so perhaps your plants will always bloom right around Reece's birthday in celebration of her precious life and rejoicing of her arrival in glory.
Your sweet family is in my prayers.

  36. Somehow, I landed on your blog tonight. My name is Jill (doinlifetogether.blogspot.com) and I wanted to stop and leave a comment.

My tears are flowing. Thank you for reminding me in your hardship of how GREAT God is. He is the I AM. Your words have touch someone tonight who you don't even know in ways I can't explain. May God comfort you every minute of every day until you get to hold your Reese again.

    God Bless - Jill
