Jason and his dad have been busy this week. Cam loves any project, and we keep a running list for him for when he comes to visit. ; )
Jason surprised me by planting five beautiful crepe myrtles in Reese's honor. They are simply breathtaking and look like they were always meant to be lining our driveway. We can never move, and if we do these tree are going with us!
"...to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified."
Isaiah 61:3
What a special gift. I can't imagine the pain that your family is going through, but I have no doubt looking at those trees in full bloom every season, will remind you of your beautiful beautiful daughter. Continuing to pray for you guys.

Love the trees! Beautiful! My friend had a miscarriage over a year ago and when they moved to their new house they planted a tree in the baby's honor. They call her their "glory baby." Hope all is well with your family and know that you are thought about and loved!

Love,
Joni, Cody, and Reed
I heard of your horrible loss through Kelly's Korner and have been so sad that you had to suffer so. The one thing that I know from walking with God is that we will just never figure Him out. Why He allows different things to happen is just beyond my comprehension but you have been a very strong testimony pointing to the fact that His ways are always right.
ReplyDeleteYour crepe myrtles are lovely. I have one on the side of my house that I can see from my upstairs bedroom window and it never ceases to bring me pleasure. It's such a true explosion of color when they bloom. I'm in Kansas and mine almost always blooms in early August so perhaps your plants will always bloom right around Reece's birthday in celebration of her precious life and rejoicing of her arrival in glory.
Your sweet family is in my prayers.

Somehow, I landed on your blog tonight. My name is Jill (doinlifetogether.blogspot.com) and I wanted to stop and leave a comment.
ReplyDeleteMy tears are flowing. Thank you for reminding me in your hardship of how GREAT God is. He is the I AM. Your words have touch someone tonight who you don't even know in ways I can't explain. May God comfort you every minute of every day until you get to hold your Reese again.
God Bless - Jill
