Anyone who knows me well knows that I am not a crafty person. I always wished I was, but it just isn't one of my gifts. I'm ok with this, but I do like to try a little project sometimes just for fun. Usually this ends up being a disaster, but a girl's got to try, right? I have learned that it's best for me to follow exact directions, copy something already crafty, or keep things VERY simple.
I have had this stool for years and years. I don't even remember exactly but I think I made it at Vacation Bible School or something like that. Anyway, I decided to paint it for Zach so he could play or sit on it, and one day use it as a little step.
Before pic - nicely decorated with everyone's names. Ha!
I liked to write my name...
Tada! I really like how it turned out, and no the circles are not supposed to be perfect. That wouldn't be any fun. ; )
I hope Zach likes it!
Adorable, Katie! You need to set up a booth at the boutique show in March!
ReplyDeleteI think you did a great job! He will love it.
ReplyDeleteSo cute!! They will be perfect for Zach!
ReplyDeleteLook at you "steppin up" to the crafty plate. Looks great.
ReplyDeleteI'm very impressed! It will get LOTS of use. Anna carries hers all over the house to she can stand on it and "help" mommmy with whatever I'm doing.
ReplyDeleteToo cute. I have the same one. Might have to dig it up soon! :)
ReplyDeleteBy the way.....I bet DAD dug that out of some HOLE of stuff in their house and brought it to you...didn't he?? HA HA HA HA HA HA
ReplyDeleteI think it turned out great! I know he will love it! :)
ReplyDeleteI like it
ReplyDeleteI like it. I also like that the circles aren't perfect. Makes it perfect, in my eyes anyway. GREAT JOB! I will get lots of use and be special bc you made it for him.
ReplyDeleteA+

ReplyDeleteBy the way, tell your son I say Happy Birthday!
How many of your friends have commented that you painted over their signatures...? Ha.
