Funny thing, this morning I got home and thought did we pray? and then saw he didn't take allergy med so I went to the school and gave it to him and prayed. Also this year we've started reading a verse, I have picked one verse from the Proverbs of the day and then we talk about it.
I think routine is so important in the mornings and having anything that can be done the night before done. I give my boy choices about clothes so he can choose and clothing is not an issue.
bphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09884081028227999883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4576521988054772040.post-38610110581332607932012-09-28T09:28:40.947-07:002012-09-28T09:28:40.947-07:00We pick out clothes the night before and I don'...We pick out clothes the night before and I don't let the kids come downstairs until they're dressed and have their teeth brushed. Once they're downstairs it's impossible to get them back up to do those things. Some mornings it fails and I still have them getting dressed in front of the TV.alisonbackerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09284987182353417266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4576521988054772040.post-11754957159801001052012-09-28T09:14:50.794-07:002012-09-28T09:14:50.794-07:00He's so cute!

We pick out what Brayden will wear so there are no clothes fights. We pack lunches. I put everything in the laundry room ready to go. So that all I have to do is dress the boys and pack their lunches into their backpacks and walk out the door. MUCH less stressful that way I have found.Lindshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14739426687533738884noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4576521988054772040.post-18205145647040960342012-09-28T07:31:48.960-07:002012-09-28T07:31:48.960-07:00I'm so glad he's doing so well. Also, I make a menu and do as much prep work ahead of time as possible.Surrounded-By-Boyshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10955274145760968408noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4576521988054772040.post-25834926795281666002012-09-28T04:59:48.921-07:002012-09-28T04:59:48.921-07:00I love the idea of a morning prayer with the kids!...I love the idea of a morning prayer with the kids! What a great way to slow the morning back down and redirect your attention to most important thing :). We break out mornings down to just the most important things, breakfast, clothes, medicine (Graham takes a couple), and teeth brushing. Graham's bus comes at 6:28 am (ugh) and Grady is usually up and wanting to go to the bus stop too. We hustle to get the most we can done in the shortest amount of time!

Hope y'all have a great weekend!Hillaryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10944360286843076465noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4576521988054772040.post-3322044310572405272012-09-28T04:37:43.297-07:002012-09-28T04:37:43.297-07:00Much of our school years also involved our foster ...Much of our school years also involved our foster kids so we had 10 children at various ages and stages. Having a good routine helps. A very good routine! We had simple breakfasts. We did as much as we could the night before. We didn't always pray before school, but I loved it when we did. It is fun to see Zach growing in wisdom and in stature!Beckyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14712508409234283378noreply@blogger.com
