Easter 2014

We had a wonderful Easter weekend! Full of family and of course good food. ; ) We started Saturday off with soccer games.
We have one Pirate
and one Shark. ; )
Cols scored 6 goals. He was so proud!
There's a big difference in between the boys' games. Zach's team is just a little more controlled. ; )

After the games we went to our church's Easter egg hunt. So fun! I think I was more excited than the boys.

All ready!
 Zach found a prize egg.
Sunday morning we took some family pics before church. A wasp flew by us and Zach FREAKED. OUT. Hilarious.
Gran and G-Dad with the boys
I love my men. ; )

We hosted Easter lunch, and I had a second to snap this pic of the kids' table. Cuties. ; )

So thankful for family and the reason we celebrate Easter!

In that wonderful day you will sing: "Thank you, LORD!"

Spring, Soccer & Sunshine

I'm so excited because I found out a few days ago that one of my readers booked a trip to DVR for this summer! Yay!

Our past week has been filled with lots of soccer. Throw in a field trip, a baby shower, and Jason being out of town for a few days and our days have flown by. ; )
Zach's class visited a museum of a pioneer community and was taken back to what life was like on a farm 100 years ago. He's milking a "cow" in this pic.
This past weekend both boys had their first soccer games.
Colson's little team is the Pirates. Cute. ; )
This is Zach's first season back after a few years, and it's amazing how so much has changed. His team actually listens to the coach. Ha!
Guess who was the goalie?
Zach's team is the Sharks.
Colson has already been to two Easter egg hunts, and he's been playing with his eggs all week. He doesn't even eat the candy! He likes to open each egg to take the candy out then puts it all back in.

We have so much to celebrate this Easter weekend (and each day) because Jesus lives!

Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits, even the God of our salvation.

Let's Talk Summer: Deer Valley Ranch 2

The theme to celebrate DVR's 60th summer is "We Can't Wait." A few things my family can't wait for are Sunday worship, the Wranglers' breakfast, the scenery, the lunch cookout, and square dancing. One of my nieces calls it "Cowboy Camp."

I mentioned in my first DVR post about a giveaway. The first family who registers (who is new to DVR) to go this summer will receive a $250 gift card to be used during their trip.

In addition to this, if anyone makes a reservation by May 1st their name goes in the cowboy hat for a drawing to win 1955 prices! How amazing would this be? All the details for this wonderful opportunity are HERE.

These pics are from our trip in 2008.
Wrangler's breakfast
I will always remember this moment. Of course I was trying to feed a deer (you're not supposed to), and this one almost walked into our cabin. My dad kept saying, "Shut the door! Shut the door!" but I was frozen. Thankfully it stayed outside. Ha.
I grew up playing in this little ghost town.
Hiking
the lodge
Allie ringing the dinner bell
Bo and Jason playing a little tennis
Feeding the chipmunks at St. Elmo. One of my favorite things. ; )

Don't hesitate to ask me any questions about Deer Valley!

You will keep in perfect peace the mind that is dependent on You, for it is trusting in You.

A Little More Spring Break

The weather was perfect while we were at Snowmass. Sunny for the first three days, then lots of snow (10-12 inches) on the last day.
Jason bought a helmet this year and attached his gopro to it.
This would be me. Ha! It was that cold on our last day skiing. I look crazy but I was warm.
Ski bunny!
Playing in the powder
Snow, snow and more snow
So thankful Jason's parents could join us!
We went to Aspen on our last day for some shopping and ate at a little burger joint.

Can't wait to go back to Colorado again!

God is not a man who lies, or a son of man who changes His mind. Does He speak and not act, or promise and not fulfill?

Snowmass 2014

Jason wanted to go skiing so badly this year so he planned a spring break trip for the four of us...and invited his parents to help with Colson. ; ) Zach was barely three when he first skied (a little too young) so we thought it would be best for Cols to play with Gran and G-Dad this year. This was their first trip to Snowmass, and they loved it! We still may get them to ski one day. ; )

First things first...family hot tub!
We never thought we would get his parents to Colorado with us. ; )

Snowmass has a little gondola (Skittles), and the kids love riding it.

Love this place

Sneaky's is one of our fave runs.

Every day the mountain has a "noon groom." We had to hike to begin Long Shot, but it was worth it.
One day Cam and Trish brought Colson up the main gondola to eat lunch with us on the mountain.
Lamby made the trip, too.
Can't wait for Cols to join us!
Zach loves to ski, and it's so much fun watching him enjoy something so much. He'll be teaching me new things very soon I'm sure!

Therefore the Lord is waiting to show you mercy, and is rising up to show you compassion...Happy are all who wait patiently for Him.
