Avengers Assemble

Zach's birthday party was this past weekend at a local bounce house place. He loves to bounce!
He also loves the Avengers (or any superhero) so we jumped all in. ; )
These boys are two of a kind.
Gran & G-Dad with the birthday boy
Zach's cookie cake was a Captain America shield. It didn't last long!
He was so sweet when everyone was singing "Happy Birthday" to him.
This really wasn't an "all boy" party but it definitely looks like it!
Zach sat on his blow up "throne" to open gifts. So fun!
He had plenty of helpers, too. ; )

Birthday parties are fun but kind of stressful! Ha. The most important thing is that Zach felt special, and I'm pretty sure he did. So thankful we have wonderful families and friends to celebrate with us!

You will keep in perfect peace the mind that is dependent on You, for it is trusting in You.

Happy 6th Birthday, Zach!

Happy Birthday, Zach!
My handsome little man, your sensitive heart amazes me. You are a deep thinker and take everything in around you. You are silly and mischievous and full of energy.

Your bedtime prayers always begin like this...

"Dear Jesus, thank You for this day. Thank You that we love You. Thank You for our cozy beds. Thank You for Mommy, Daddy, Zach, Colson, Riley and Reese."

I never want to forget. ; )

We love you SO very much! So proud of you.

Be still and know that I am God.

Hope Moms' Retreat & Name Gallery

The Hope Mommies winter retreat is on the calendar! If you are a hope mom or know someone who is I definitely recommend this amazing weekend. I'm SO glad I went last year. Check out the Hope Mommies website for all the details. Let me know if you have any questions. ; )

I'm about to begin Week #8 with my Hope Group. My time with these wonderful moms has flown by! I can't believe it. They bless me in so many ways.
This weekend the boys helped me put together a little name gallery for all the babies in my group. I always love seeing Reese's name so I hope this brings a smile to my moms' faces. We used cars for the boys and ribbons for the girls.

Hope you are enjoying this holiday season!

Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from Him. Trust in Him at all times...pour out your hearts to Him.

Gentry Safari

We took the boys to the Gentry Safari yesterday afternoon. For the past few years in the spring and fall I have been nagging asking Jason to take us there. ; ) We had SO much fun! It was much bigger than we both expected. We walked around the barn and petting zoo then drove through the safari.
Let's just walk up to a giraffe and feed him lettuce.
Zach is our little animal lover. Animals were everywhere, and he was laughing all over himself. I was surprised how many roamed free.
Colson is a little more reserved when it comes to animals. He likes them but wants to keep his distance. ; )
This handsome boy will be SIX in about a week.

When we were two minutes into the 45 minute safari drive, Colson  said, "I'm tired of this. I want to go home." Ha!
At this point in the drive there were camels close on both sides of our car. Colson had somehow wedged himself behind my back saying "Don't roll down the window Mommy" over and over.
An emu did bite Zach after he fed him a Cheezit but it didn't phase Zach at all. ; ) The boys will talk about our adventure for a long time. I'm sure we will go back in the spring!

This I know: God is for me.

This & That

October was crazy, but thankfully we are easin' into November. Thanksgiving is definitely one of my favorite holidays because it's not focused on gifts but just being with family and friends. ; )

The boys have played in their superhero costumes countless times. So fun. I'm glad I bought them early! Last week was full of candy-filled adventures.
We went to a Fall Festival at school.
Colson passed out sugar-free candy with his friends at the retirement home.
We went trick-or-treating with our cousins on Halloween. Love this tradition (and Colson's face)!

This past weekend we went to the pumpkin patch for the last time this year. Sigh. Two friends threw a joint birthday party for their kids.
A goat. Of course. I can't stop laughing at this picture. Zach may be a farmer one day. ; )
One of the boys' favorite things to do is feed the cows. They RUN when they see the tortillas. Ha!

I have so much to be thankful for.

You love Him, though you have not seen Him. And though not seeing Him now you believe in Him...
